My husband and I always discuss this… irs by design. They wanted to have two workers for the price of one. Having both parents at work, this meant work was more overpopulated which caused wages to drop. Employers can now get away with paying employees half what they used to because there’s more people competing for these jobs. I’ve decided to not have children unless I can stay home and it’s looking pretty unlikely for that to be affordable. When we’re young we’re taught we need a career, but as you said once you have a child that no longer matters to you. Many women would like to stay home but can’t. It’s a terrible system to have someone else raising your children for you.

Are you sure finances would not check out?
A lot of the womans money is sucked of by child care. You need two cars so both can go to work easily. You pay more taxes, because of more income. You have less time to cook, so you eat out more, which is more expensive.
How much money of two incomes is still there after all the extra costs of both working?
I stopped working because twin babies would have beenhso expensive in daycare, i would be in the negative. Now I'm home since 9years.
None of us wants me to work outside the home.
Financially it kind of just worked out. Don't know how, I think it was just divine providence.

everything gets hijacked sooner or later if it gets big enough. if a system can be exploited by the few, it will become a pure form of that exploitation (eg. late stage capitalism), if a civil rights movement gets big enough (eg feminism), it will be exploited for its ability to manipulate and tribalize. It's never a case of "some movement or system" is changing or developing flaws and we then all pretend we are so clever to spot it and understand it, like a bunch of intellectual masturbators. Its far simpler than that, its always a case of those with most wealth and the most control are seizing these systems/civil movements for use as propaganda/exploitation toward voters and public opinion so they can maintain control and remain the top dogs in the financial systems. Jostling for status in the human social hierarchy (and wealth is the indicator we use) has been around for thousands of years, and is the core organizational mechanism of human culture, which has barely changed over the millennia.

@SladkaPritomnost narcissistic is the correct word. I spend at least 16 hours a day on the road with my job on nearly every street through a 2 year span in southern AZ. I've seen it all. It got far worse after covid restrictions lifted. Talking with a few police officers, they wholeheartedly agreed. Also, some newer research is showing that covid can have an effect on mental health including increased violent tendencies. Particularly for middle to older aged women. I've had several women attack me in the last few years while minding my business doing my job. One hopped in the back of my pickup trying to take pictures of my equipment another stole my county maps out of my truck etc. Scary out there. I get in trouble for being dismissive to people but it's the safer option these days. I'm not obligated to answer questions or entertain folks. I'm a utility worker minding my business. Call the number all over the truck if you have questions. Heh... so many stories. I'm glad I work in isolation for several weeks at a time.

I have a amazing husband and I’m about to give birth to two girls and several questions have been raised between me and my partner because, I just realized, I created unrealistic expectations based on feminist sentimentalism. I’ve always always wanted to be a mother but my own mother and family in general wanted me to have a career. I’ve been depressed and feeling under accomplished for 12 years since I got my college degree. I’m 35 now, I’ve been lucky enough to find a partner who wants a family as much as I do and believing that my life just started.

"To have a career" in the way you're saiyng it, i think this term massively downplays their expectations still. I think they wanted you to have "an empire", that's more accurate because almost anyone has a career, a stable job, good or bad, but not everyone is financially independent (and making a decent living or better). And don't even get me started about starting a successfull business wich requires massive ammounts of raw willpower and at the very least fairly high risks. Personally, i wanna have a stable job that i like doing, and if i can achive financial independency with relative ease then great, otherwise not worth my willpower.

2:18:05 You have to go through a few meltdowns to change anything. It's easy to avoid getting angry, sad and do something safe such as scroll social media all day, but this way you'll never change anything about your life. I remember reading somewhere that anger, and having these kinds of meltdowns, being stressed, and frustrated is what increases your neuroplasticity, so it's kind of a fuel for any real big change in your life. Women of course don't like men who get frustrated and cry a lot, but that's because they like a fully developed grown man, not someone who's going through a development phase, but that shouldn't mean that men should avoid stress, crying, meltdowns, anger, that's all part of self-improvement cycle. And with experience you will learn how to more efficiently redirect these emotions towards something productive, and even conceal them.

People that want privileges hide it under wanting new "rights". But a right does not overstep over some else, that is the key difference between a right and a privilege. A right does not take anything away from someone else, your right to live does not take another life, your right to speech does not take away some else's, etc. Privileges need to go over some one else to work.

I think what you two discussed on this video applies mainly to the US. In my country I faced lots of prejudice for not wanting to marry or have children or not being feminine (I haven't been to college if you are wondering), and I've been always been told it is a waste of time to pursue a career as a woman or that I was being immature.

If all women thought like you then your country's population would collapse, your culture would die out and your people would be replaced by foreigners. It's only natural that they try to discourage you from choosing that path. Imagine if ALL the men said "eehhh I don't feel like working.... or defending my country...." it wouldn't survive very long. So of course every society shames deadbeat and coward men too.

I always appreciate these talks because people should understand multiple viewpoints, but I would like to see a follow-up with someone who has another take and research especially someone from a minority demographic because whether or not we want to admit it there is a difference between white feminism and other feminism. Also, for those of us who did study the history of it we know that feminism helped capitalism, however, I'm also re-reading The Odyssey because it's been translated by a woman and it found in that research that during its original translations, they actually did change a lot of the terms used for women and how they were presented in ancient greek times. Also, I'd argue that it does seem to be mainly white people who talk about victimization and oppression in terms of ourselves, like it's a new Olympic game while ignoring minority takes.
That's just my two cents, I can't agree with Rachel because we all have our own personal biases and her views don't just come from her research, but her own experience and what she posts on social media can tell you she made up her mind, but I think by doing another interview with someone else and another take would offer a more nuanced point to this discussion.

This talk gave me lots of things to ponder and think about. I really like the idea of having a simple life, yet, I am told to get a career so that I am independent, regardless if I have a man by my side or not. Sure, this talk seems to sway towards motherhood, and I really want that for myself, but in the trajectory of my life, dating is hard and it seems like I may not find a decent man to settle down with, and all I have is my career and hobbies to keep me busy. So it made me think, if there wasn’t the feminist movement, would I still be like this? Stuck in an unfortunate cycle of finding the right partner to settle down with, or would I be able to find a man worthy to be my husband, because my expectations are lower, and that I don't know any better? Sometimes, I feel like the feminist movement is like opening Pandora's box of unknowns, and it feels like we are living in an alternate universe almost.... ok, I'm rambling now, but I enjoyed the talk nonetheless, it gave me stuff to think about.

    • @kgal1298
      @kgal1298 Před 9 měsíci +9

I think what she missed in her research is the fact that feminism is treated as it should be and should be about ownership over oneself. If you choose to give up that ownership and you have someone you trust and you want them to make the calls that's fine because you made that choice. The point is self-ownership not ruling over someone else, if moms want to be moms that's fine and there are many women who have said feminism is as such. How she somehow ignored that is amazing. Also, I have a hard time trusting someone that says they say they vote to back their husband and to cancel out feminism is her sort of trolling. I'm sorry, but I vote based on what my ethics are and what I've taught it's silly to think you need to vote for someone else.
I'd also argue that if women want a husband they can find them, but I recently was watching some opinion-based videos on men wanting to go for more independent women as a weird game, but there's a lack of research in that so I'd take it with a grain of salt, but if you want a husband and you want to get married that's always an option especially if you compromise on what you want in a partner.

Women have more rights then men and are doing way better on every statistical metric. There is no wage gap, women on average work fewer hours than men that's why they get a lower level of pay when worked out as an average

I typically like your content because you reference valid studies when you pull data or statistics. However, In this interview, the interviewee constantly stated data, statistics, historical facts/events without once referencing a study or how it was known that these things happened. There was even a moment where you asked her to give statistical numbers off the top of her head. This doesn’t align with your previous methods of providing research for the ideas you are offering in your content. Please reconsider your methods and reflect on your previous content and what made it great. WITH THAT SAID, I did enjoy the interview for the most part. Some interesting ideas/concepts that I’ve never thought of. But evidence or studies to back up her talking points would have made it more convincing. Half of the things she said seemed sus, biased, and opinionated.

My book explains all of this in detail and includes all of the citations for the original source material. Joseph pinned a link at the top of the comments. There’s also a ton of this kind of information on my substack. Thank you, glad you enjoyed it 🙏🏻

I thought so too, I love having the studies referenced as I watch

But Rachel has done the work finding the references and collecting it into a single book. One can just buy the book.
Otherwise, you could make the same effort as Rachael and do it yourself if you do not want to spend the time and effort with parting from your money.

If you want more details, get her book. Spending 100s of hours researching should be rewarded. Otherwise, you can find out yourself. If not, guess you didn't actually care and just wanted to be contrary.

It always gives me hope and reassures me when People that are very well attuned and adjusted with living healthy lives like you come to logical and non biased conclusions. People scared to be "canceled" would not have rachel on, and i think it speaks volumes about your drive for the truth and not just the well crafted narrative that State entities and greedy ideologues would want you to be believe.
    Kudos.

Hot darn, when did Joseph get based? I was delighted to watch this. Your videos completely pulled the wool of my eyes with regards to nutrition and health, and I have loved all your videos throughout the years. If you can help people escape these kinds of self-destructive ideologies, you will be helping tenfold more people than the considerable number of people that you have already helped.
I imagine you'll cope some blow back from this video, but remember it's pretty much all manufactured. Us commonfolk are behind you. If I chance to see you in Hachioji, I'll take great preasure in shaking your hand.

Open minds are for women, as men, if you want in our steel trap minds, you gotta get past the hard facts and logic. But you know what, everything this woman said checks out, I don't even need to see the research or look into it myself, my common sense tells me all I need to know, and common sense isn't the same a feelings, it's sense, which is different and better. Far men than what women do, which is suited for raising children, but not the real world.
