AND Kenickie actually got to sing - in the Broadway version, Kenickie sings this WHOLE song but John Travolta managed to use his fame to sing the song in the movie. 😒
As someone who took theatre in college I can testify how difficult quick changes can be. We dedicated an in tire day to learning the art of it and we were timed. We had to switch out costumes on our classmates in less than 3 minutes. It is not easy to do!

A lot of credit has to go to Aaron Tveit. He was willing to take on a role virtually nobody wanted because they were afraid of the shadow of Travolta. While he didn't escape that shadow, he still put in a damn good showing and proved he had the guts to take on an impossible challenge. He may not have been as perfectly cast as Julianne Hough and Vanessa Hudgens were, but considering the circumstances, he acquitted himself well. And let's be fair; out of all the GREASE characters, the one casting choice that's irreplaceable is Travolta as Danny. Any actor taking over the role would have been just as much at a disadvantage. Tveit made the most of a difficult situation and showed a lot of courage that a lot of other actors didn't have.
I never even thought about that. You're definitely right about Travolta being irreplaceable as Danny, which was part of the reason why I wasn't too crazy about Tveit's portrayal. But reading what you wrote here, I definitely see your point. You gotta give him props for taking on the role
Reid Mason He did a very good job with this role great attitude and energy. Also great dancing and he does believe he is Danny and great chemistry with Julianne Hugh.
