noooooo wayy!! this is one my my favorite games as well, I used to speedrun it actually! once upon a time i was 50th in the world (which is not very impressive) but I still had fun, did over 20000 runs over the course of a few years.
This brings back memories. This and Bioshock were my jam for a while. Its a good first game but 2 is so good, improved in every way

Piero is voiced by Brad Dourif, who also played chucky. That blew my mind when I found that out. You should absolutely finish this game and its story dlcs and then play the second one and technically "third one" when you get the time.

Man, you're gonna love this game. Fantastic worldbuilding and level design, and atmosphere for days. Don't worry too much about the morality system. You have to kill a ton of guys to push it over to "High Chaos". Although, personally, I feel like there's so many creative ways to murder in this game, and only a handful of non-lethal options, so going "Clean hands" feels a bit less fun, and more like a challenge for perfectionists. I also think the "Bad Ending" is...a little better? Its more dramatically satisfying, and gives you more fun version of the last few levels. It's definitely darker, less hopeful, and certain parts of it make you feel like a monster (The way some characters view you will change) but it kind of makes sense for the world and the story. This is a revenge story set in a rough-ass world, in the grips of a nigh-apocalyptic plague. Doesn't seem like that's gonna wrap up in sunshine and rainbows. The "Good Ending" feels a little too tidy, and kind of an anti-climax.
Absolutely love Dishonored. So many ways to complete each objective. Its a true immersive sim with so many unique abilities. Not to mention the grim story and atmosphere.

You don’t have to play stealthy in this game but it fundamentally changes the missions if you decide run and gun
I'm excited to see which way you go about this it usually takes multiple playthroughs so I'm really excited, also is anyone else getting the bug that says error subscribing
you CAN still get the best ending and kill all the targets, but you do have to be a bit careful around everyone else

I haven't watched much of the video yet, but I played Dishonored a while back. I suck at stealth, although I keep trying to play stealthy characters in games. My first playthrough, I killed a lot of people and I upgraded things for combat. The ending changes based on your actions though. I did eventually do a no kill run, but I had to quick save and reload constantly. It's a pretty cool game. I never beat the second game. It felt more challenging to me and I was struggling with a certain part.
I did not know what time it was! But I'm definitely not complaining, and I only ever did D2 myself so brand new cool stuff coming up, which is double-good.
Great game! good choice! The 2nd game is dope as well. Totally agree, play as you feel, if you get spotted and kill some people its not a big deal at all.
14:31 they do lock ending behind kills, typically you can kill 5-10 per level and be fine but a huge part of this game and its mechanics rely on stealth and sneaking past enemies with cool abilities not stealth kills this isn’t that type of game unless you want murderhobo ending where the rat plague gets worse from your actions, not sure if you’re still playing this but there’s lots of alternate paths in levels that encourage stealth and outside the Box thinking not murder its just not the most obvious path most of the time

several years since i played this and I also stopped after a few hours.....but killing the soldiers, are they not your own men? just following the order of those who betrayed?

You shoulda played wow classic. And I’m not just saying this because retail sucks ( but it really does) play classic. It’s fun, more story driven, easier to understand class design. I suggest going to cataclysm classic. Vanilla is a good option too but cataclysm is more optimized for today’s age of gaming. Look into it man!
