It seems that the majority of French people don't recognise their own talent, since they play mostly English or American music at every opportunity.
@@blueblueyt7542 I think that it is stereotypical. It might be that you noticed only English speaking songs because it is the language that you know. I would say that French people (on average) listen to more variety of music than people from English speaking countries. People in Frnace would listen to French and English speaking languages but you find a lot of Spanish, a fair bit of Arabic, some East Asian and African languages. At least from my observation (I lived 25 years in France, 8 years in the UK, 4 years in Switzerland, 4 years in Australia, and lived a bit in Spain, Germany and China)
I moved from England before I was able to be fluent in French and take the field trip to France in high school
