- A cold case is re-opened in Brooklyn, and we meet the family of the late Rashawn Brazell, whose body was found in a trash bag on a subway platform in 2005. For thirteen years the case went unresolved, but with modern detective work and the DA Eric Gonzalez' creation of a forensics science unit in the borough, the Brazell family gets some much needed closure.

On this day Rayshawn I thought about you. I decided to google your name because that’s what I do when you come to my mind. Surprisingly I see that your cold case has been closed. I’m happy they caught your killer but sad because he took your life. You had such a beautiful spirit and energy about you. I know this because We had classes in elementary and junior high school together. All the memories of us jumping double Dutch and just all of us walking together after school. Your life was taken way too soon. RIP my dear friend.

We went to the same school, he was my classmate. So so sad I remember hearing and reading about this. No mother should EVER EVER EVER HAVE TO EXPERIENCE THIS. I'm beyond glad they caught him and justice was served
I've also lost a son through a brutal attack. I'm so sorry for your loss too, I feel your pain. Unfortunately, there are evil people around us all the time, everywhere in the world. A huge thank you to these dedicated, selfless cops whose hard work is noticed and appreciated by catching those monsters and jailing them for life.
Rashawns murder really broke my heart.. such a bright that’s been turned off forever by a monster.. I often wonder why humans that were wrongfully murdered can’t have 9 lives like cats

Auntie, I remember the last time I spoke him in the Math assistant principal at Bushwick High School because he wanted to graduate Auntie. He was oh so sweet and I remember putting my hand on my mouth in shock seeing his picture on the front of the newspaper.
I am now 30 years old, but I still remember the piece of memory of him and his murder.

I was "OK, standard psycho..." until I heard that the victims were both DISMEMBERED. I HONESTLY TO GOD DEMAND that DISMEMBERMENT, which is INHUMAN, be yet ANOTHER case, with a conviction of at least 20 years worth. Its evil ENOUGH to KILL another human being, but to DESECRATE their corpse is an INSULT and CALLOUS, and yet ANOTHER attack on family and friends. It's like when the victim was raped and killed -and they only charge murder. WHERE is the responsibility for torture???? VILE, EVIL, DISGUSTING SYSTEM that does NOT account for these.

In the beginning of the documentary or story rather the mother Rashawn mother said that he said to her Ma if he were to ever go he'd want to be remembered for this and that and so on and i feel that he knew that he wouldn't be living any longer then expected without actually saying so now i admit i could be wrong but that is just how i feel and that is my own personal opinion of it may rashawn continue on r.i.p. and my heart and prayers go out to his family and loved ones and siblings and friends as well
