Preferably, John alone. Love his voice.
Lovely duet, for me it is most beautiful of all of them.
Oh I am so pleased you liked it. I too find it extremely beautiful. I love they way JD interacts with Julie. So romantic.
Lovely performance of such a gorgeous song. The way John is so welcoming towards Julie is very gracious of him. Some of the criticism of Australian Julie Anthony is pure bunkum. She has had a distinguished career in Australia.
Absolutely agree with you.
Eu amo está canção
Beautiful. I miss John so much.
Oh yes, so do I. This one brings me such joy it is so beautifully sung. They blend well together.
Beautiful ❤🎵🎵🎵⚘️💕💕✅️👌👌👌🙏🏻
John Denver is a great singer/songwriter. She is a karaoke singer.
Yes John is a great singer/songwriter - obviously I love him.
I have to disagree on Julie Anthony. She has been a top Australian entertainer for many years. You don't get the accolades below if you are a Karaoke singer.

Yes,I agree! She is singing over him! It should be a gentle rendition, from both of them! At the end, when they are harmonising, she sings softly.much better!
I feel John knows well what he was doing - he's a professional by this time - not a rookie.. She really isn't that loud. Her interpretation is a little different with emphasis in different phrases (which may not be everybody's cup of tea). However, I feel John was singing softly on purpose and lifted his volume too when he soloed. John truly looked liked he loved it and was enjoying himself. Hence, I love watching this rendition often.
I think it more a sound engineer issue than the performers. On his harmony parts under her lead, he could of had a little more volume.
I agree. I love their voices together and I don't find her overpowering. And I don't feel she is singing over him. Sometimes we lose a bit of perspective because we love John so much and want him to feature. But to me he is always a feature, and very good at duets. @@maff7191
And I think John just loved to let other singers show their talent. He was a true humble gentleman, & not a show off. I loved that about him, too. 😊
I totally agree John cares ao much for us and he is always such a gentleman ❤
Maravilhosos a cantora e o John Denver
Essa música será eterna na minha memória. Fica bem em qquer estilo musical.
It's so soothing to the soul.❤
Her voice has Anne Murray or Patsy Cline similarities- I would have suposed to be a deeer mezzosoprano, but have read, she is a soprano... maybe Anne and Patsy are also higher than altos than...
The tip of her nose moves up and down.
Maybe she's "Bewitched".
I wish I hadn’t seen your comment. Now when I watch this all I can see is her nose! Lol
I prefer Placido
There is no doubt it is a beautiful version with Placido.
She sings well, but this song is meant to be sung tenderly and she overpowered John when she should have been more gentle.
I listen to this one often. Actually was listening to it when you commented. I have found that although I agree she is a little stronger, the interaction between the two just draws me back to this version constantly. I think when she sings as the harmony in the second half she does tone it down a bit just as John did in the first half.
Are you in Aspen as your name suggests? I'll be there for a few days in just over a week from now.
I’ve been to Aspen countless times but not this year or probably not in the future. I’d go there every October back when it used to be called the John Denver Family reunion. Now it’s Aspen in October. I’ve had this email address for probably thirty years. Enjoy your trip. Be sure to visit the JD sanctuary.
Oh yes, the sanctuary is my first point of call and I intend to spend some time every day sitting there and reflecting and just paying my respects to someone that has filled me with so much joy and passion. I'm also going to Monterey bay to pay my respects.@@aspenkate
Are you Mary Kelly?
What about the chick who ask the question in the first place i bet you she said love was like santa clause ... imaginary
Sorry not sure what you are talking about. What chick and what question?
I like the Placido Domingo and JD version WAY better. Couldn't even get past 1:26 without quitting. Do not like her style
well then you missed the better half of the video.
@@jd-loveistheanswer nah :) I'll stick with Domingo and Denver :)
Definitely a fantastic duo. Did you watch them with Julie Andrews in her Christmas special?@@Nate_is_Great
Hated this. She sings over him drowning out the smooth quiet melody of his vocals. Also did not like the inflections of how she drew out the notes. The only part that I enjoyed was when John sang solo. Can't beat the original pairing of he with Placido. It was magical.
