Is there an objective way to measure "hustle?"
For the next Q&A since I missed this one. DIPS, while highly unintuitive and disputed because of this, seems to have been proven out as a true thing in MLB, as most of the studies to discredit it resolved with finding only a few amount of pitchers in recent MLB history that might have a slight effect on pitching to contact outs. However, I've never seen any similar studies for college level ball that says it's a true thing for this level. I am not sure if the lower level of development, a different level in disparity of talent, or even the metal bats could produce different results than in MLB. Have you seen anything that says that DIPS is still is applicable in college baseball?
