No internal baffles? I think the ends will soon be bulging as the diesel sloshes around.
No devider inside the tank..so when the fuel get 1/2 it slushing back and forth, and build up pressure inside the tank, sometimes it pops when you open it and that is no good..🤔🤔
The baffle was the disc he left in for the filler pipe. lol
he does this so that he always has a job.
Sir, I lift my hat to you. You are a master at gas welding sheet metal.
Boy... Shows you know jack shit about welding...Huh?
with no baffles and those roads bout as much use as a glass eye on a misty day.
5:53 you might think he would remove that disc but nooo, he just pushes it inside the tank to rattle around forever
no my frend i took that disc out of there
@@emailshe great theory! the frequency of the rattle will change. But there won’t be much reserve
@@Alpi-yn5jk aah, thank you for commenting. The removal wasn’t shown on camera
They remove it when it is not hot, cannot not film each second of their process, same for the second hole, that was not shown.
Very sloppy and tacky work on his part..
Wonder if he's ever pinched a nut or not, the way he straddles that metal sheet, lolol!
That'll last about 2 weeks... Then it falls apart...Bravo!
Love how he must stop and make more gas to finish the job 👍👍🇺🇸
Took me a moment then i remembered watching a video about old mine gas lamps
We used calcium carbide on the farm I grew up on, mostly to heat the chickens in the winter.
Seems like very thin material for a gas tank.
Ya Think???
@@bingosunnoon9341 That's an airplane numb nuts!!!

That completely blew me away this man was making his own acetylene
Are they using carbide to make acetylene for there torch?
Yes.
Yes.
if that explode there, bring down concrete too

@@jwiereng thanks for the correction
is there an extra charge for the dirt and extra metal inside of these tanks ??
Well, consider the quality of diesel that goes inside.... Oh, we almost forgot the death-trucks they're mounted on 😂
So yeah, I wouldn't worry
That is to speed up the rusting of the tank so you are back in 6 months.
That Lad is good with the Torch but the Tank has no Baffles to stop the Fuel sloshing about also, depending where the pick-up is a Driver could run out of fuel going up a steep Hill.
Alot of truck tanks don't have baffles. I imagine the shape of the tank being cylindrical somewhat negates the need, and the pickup tubes are usually located near the bottom in the middle of the tank, so running out of fuel is only a concern when you're close to empty anyway
That problem is more common than you'd think 😂😂 Especially around the mountain regions.
Did he leave the cutoff piece of metal inside the tank? Is he making his own Acetylene gas using chunks of Carbide?. He is very good with a torch.
Everything about what this guy did was wrong, however I will say he's got some skills laying a bead with a torch that shits tricky.
probably there is another guy working in the area fixing the leaking fuel tanks for cheap. I guess he did a super job as for the local standards.
This guy could be making 6 figures over here in North America with that skill, especially as a farm fabrication shop
Sehr tolle Blechschlosserarbeit. Chapeau!!
Awesome work! Straight to business, and making it with the tools available 🙏👍
this is wrong - the tank will not last long - there are no partitions inside
I really liked the cowboy style tack welding of the shell.
He knows more about gas welding than most american welders. Why do I say that? He turned the oxygen bottle on all the way instead of just cracking it.
Only useful as a spare tank. When the track is low fuel and going uphill/ downhill the fuel pump will not reach the diesel
wow are you guys actually making acetylene with calcium carbonate?
If you’ve never welded you have no idea how much skill it took to run that torch bead.
I'm more amazed by the death wish they have the way they produced acetylene gas. He probably doesn't have a clue about the dangers or is kept in the dark as much as possible. Apart from that, welding is just a game of repetition.
(and yes I have experience welding in stick, MIG and even oxyfuel because I asked my grandfather to teach me although declared me mad. But I would never run a rig like that. Didn't even see a flashback arrestor and that tank looked about 30-ish liter in size. If that go boom, it go boom big)
Very good welding 👍👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
For the future it will be nice to add ad least some internal blocking plates. On case is breaking or accident it will save somebody's life.
They make new life
To be honest, if you consider the way factory workers are treated, you would know that life isn't something they care about.
Crazy shit you guys do over there never be that good and easy in canada 🇨🇦 love it keep it up
I’m just amazed he’s wearing closed toe shoes
Nice hard working guy. But this Diesel fuel Tank is a Joke! I wouldn't have it on a Bullock cart.
Works very nicely on a bullock cart for storing bull urine. Good fertilizer 😂
Man if that pipe decided to clamp on to your boys you'd be screaming like a little girl you one brave man sir 🤣🤣🤣👍👍
I was thinking the same thing🤣🤣
If that would've pinched, or a spark from the torch, or a number of things, could've been quite painful🤣🤣
No stopper plate inside the tank
Its called a baffle, & you're right, he didn't put one in.
Mans got skills on the Torch but this is some next level cowboy manufacuring on display here. Thin sheetmetal, no baffles and that tank is full of grid and dirt.
Great work you guys are Amazing.Brilliant Job with your welding .👍👍💕💕
I could weld like that in high-school shop class.
These tanks are not safe to handle that volume of fuel.
No internal baffle or support.
Not to mention steel is far too thin and flimsy. Wont last long at all. Be better to mount 55 gallon drums on a truck. Made better.
They produce their own acetyle.
would have thought there would be baffling inside the tank.
I wonder how long they can do that job before going totally deaf from all the hammering and banging.
The homemade acetylene generator is the most interesting and scary part!!!
yeah, how do they do that ?
This is actually an example of how sloppy practice makes good. The main danger with acetylene is that with excess pressure it will self-detonate. That home-made producer doesn't look like it can make much pressure at all, and operating pressure is set with gravity - the weight of the upper part.
Isso presta mesmo.
How thick are the semi fuel tanks?? Man they would make nice BBQ pits!!
Very nice 👌👌👌
Can use hand safeguards also for safety instead working with bear hands.
Very talented young man. You might not make much money in your country but you are with family and friends. Don't travel abroad. Stay home, find 3 or 4 nice girls and settle down. Have 15 or 20 kids and enjoy your life.

Good job
that tank would fold up like an accordian in a hwy crash at 70mph, nvr wld pass a DOT inspection
A 55 gallon drum would be safer.
Imagine what will happen to that tank when strapped onto its cradle. It will buckle.
Waste of sheet metal
@@bigboreracing356 lol if they had common sense they would make safer fuel tanks 🤡
Coming soon to a Harbor Freight near YOU!
Why would someone leave the residue part inside the tank. Also it isn't safe as a tank. One puncture on it and all the fuel goes onto the tarmac. Skilled yet dangerous.
Sredeuk gawe na....
Can't work on rainy days?
Obviously no fuel tank codes no internal baffles very thin sheet metal it wouldn't pass any code in Australia not on my truck 😱😱😱😱😱💯🇦🇺
poor design, lack of codes or just lack of common sense?
Workmanship was good though, the guy knows how to use the torch properly.
The lack of safety codes and proper designs is why these densely populated Asian countries are still considered developing nations.
Got a chip on the shoulder fellow Aussie?

No Baffles?
Fuel a tractor with one of those?
How many repair shops in the US would make you a fuel tank from sheet metal???
They don't we buy straight from manufacturer where they're heavily regulated for quality and safety... I've seen fuel tanks on big rigs catch fire but never melt or explode... I posted a sample video of one such incident
@@LongHaulTrucker4Life Exactly, that was my point. If you have ever traveled in the third world (I have) they have a completely different concept of safety. Stuff I've seen in China and India would curl your hair. And Africa takes it to a whole new level.

That is normal there;)
That pounding on them without hearing protection is going to cause hearing loss
Going to? They don't hear a thing.. 😂😂😂😂😂
Considering their work environment hearing loss would be a minor price to pay.
See that right there I can tell his skill that ain't no difference than me TIG welding a fuel tank together for someone. Difference being he doesn't have a TIG welder he's gas TIG welding also like two that the way he makes that fuel tank he makes it to where no one can siphon the fuel out of the tank.
No good way to thin metal one little hit good by fuel come on...LOL
Welldaan, thanks for your video.
Carbide
why does youtube allow these videos showing unsafe things
what is so unsafe about this ?
It's only unsafe if you don't have your wits about you. Unlike the US and Europe where we protect complete idiots from removing themselves from the gene pool.

I wouldn't buy one of those tanks. They are made of thin poor quality steel. Poor craftsmanship. Poor welding.
Poor design. No internal support or baffle. So as your driving the fuel is sloshed front to back which will make this weak tank even weaker.
If its from Pakistan or India its worst quality. India and Pakistan. Make copies
Of motorcycle sidecars that are dangerous and horrible quality and build.
They use rusty metal and paint over it. Welds are garbage. Paint is falling off during shipping. The hardware they send is rusty and poor quality steel.
I would never buy anything made there. Also Pakistan and India make and sell
The worst quality leather goods on the planet. I know a guy who bought a leather bike jacket from ebay that came from Pakistan. The stitching looked it was done by a blind man. It fell apart after a few days. The leather had a foul smell.
And the dye cam e off on his clothes and skin. Pure trash.
