About La Linea
La Linea ("The Line") is an Italian animated series created by the Italian cartoonist Osvaldo Cavandoli. The series consists of 90 episodes, which were originally broadcast on the Italian channel RAI between 1971 and 1986. All episodes were short subjects, ranging from 2:28 to 6:37 in runtime. Over the years the series aired in more than 40 countries around the world. Due to the short length of episodes, the series have often been used in many networks as an interstitial program. The background tune for the series was created by Franco Godi.
Even though the episodes are numbered up to 225, there are, in fact, only 90 La Linea episodes. The 1971 series (Season 0) had 8 (4 min) episodes, the 1978 series (Season 1) had 56 (101-156), and the 1986 series (Season 2) had 26 (200-225).

Series 1 and 2 were ripped from the official DVD, to ensure the best quality possible.

That's where I remember them from.
in the gramelot of the character, many people would probably recognize some words . (english, french) But, very often, he mutters some small sentences in italian, or rather in the local dialect of Milan. Not single words, but very brief sentences. To me, as an italian native speaker, this is hysterically funny!! "ah meno male, l'è anda' via!", "'spetta un moment' eh!":D :D
well, you cannot transcribe what this character says, because, basically, he doesn't say anything at all; only here and there he sometimes pops up with very brief sentences, two or three words maximum. For example, I watched ep S0EP1 and S0EP2 again and did not find any proper "dialogue" at all, except may be, at the end of the first episode the lady shrugs and says "BOH!", a VERY common expression in spoken Italian, meaning something like "I have no idea what just happened". But, yes, I can provide some hints to various episodes when I watch them again
S0EP03, 11:45 I heard "ma varda un po' che--", mildly funny, it should be "guarda"; meaning like "LOOK AT THAT WHAT---", the sentence is left unfinished; S0EP04, 15:05 clearly calls "CAVANDOLI!", the name of the author; S0EP04 at 16:45 I heard "la baletta", funny dialectal way of calling a little ball; 16:55 very clearly says "ma vaffan---", like f*ck you, but left unfinished :D ; 17:20 says "adesso sì eh!" loosely like "now we're onto something!"; S0EP05 18:49 "Patasciunfete!" :D doesn't mean anything, but it is what children might say when something is dropped into water; 19:21 "che tanfa - should be tanfO!" what a stench!; 19:52 "semper el büs" :D in the dialect of Milan, northern part of Italy "always this hole"; 20:59 "Punfete!" :D like "Boom!"; 25:06 again "Cavandoli!"

The line guy is like Gromit, you can't understand what he's saying but can guess it with his reactions| emotions. Unlike the famous dog, he's grumpy and impatient while Gromit is loyal and brave. Both are in different styles of animations too! Line guy is in 2D and Gromit in stop-motion.
I like this cartoon, simple and well animated as well as creative. I can't predict what the line guy will do and what the giant hand will write. It's fun 😃
