Lol I know you're joking but ofc you played it. The combo mechanics in NieR are hard to get a grasp on and and have lots of weird tech that is usually unexplained by the game.

Platinum wanted to make a game with combat that could be played simply for those who played the original NieR and aren't really into the whole "character action" genre; but they wanted to also add tons of depth on top of the simple stuff for those who are fans of their other stuff like Bayonetta and Revengence.

@@brayancedeno2253 Tbf the game never asks much of the player. While there is a TON of depth to the combat it’s never required of you to explore said depth. Also doesn’t help that any difficulty over normal seems to remove the lock-on feature.

The combat in this game is so amazing, I wished they had some content that presented this sort of technical challenge ..
Best we got was that special arena DLC with enemies that one shot you. And if you're using Berserk mode with A2 then boo hoo.
