"This Dude" is Cesar De La Rosa, Voiceplay's newest and youngest member, and he's perfect for Voiceplay! His singing is fantastic! He's sassy, smooth, silly, sweet, and has one of the most expressive faces I've ever seen! I adore each and every member of Voiceplay, but since Cesar flicked a fan in their cover of "We're Good," he's had a special place in my heart. And in "Valhalla Calling" we get Berserker Cesar! This is my favorite song by them. Though not the one I've listened to the most. That would be "Hoist The Colors,'' which I listened to over 40,500 times since January (I cheat a bit though, as I listen to it in my sleep every night).

Cesar is in the background more often but his role there and his fills between lead parts have become a crucial part in Voiceplay's new sound, in my opinion. When J.None has been present, having Cesar mainly doing this role has been absolute perfection.

I only just found your channel because I'm a huge #VoicePlay fan. This is a wonderful reaction. I love it when I get to watch the progression of the addiction. lol. This year has been incredible for VoicePlay and you haven't heard anything yet. This year they have done 'Seven Nation Army', 'Dream On', 'In the Air Tonight', and 'Creep'. You'll particularly love 'Creep'. Ceaser, the guy you keep pointing out as having an amazing voice, takes the lead on that one. He will blow you away. All of them will blow you away. Also, Geoff does solo work! His versions of 'I See Fire' and 'Sixteen Tons' are insane.

I like that they have J staring out across the water at the beginning. He’s been away (in the US Navy) and now he’s come back (at least for this). The rap was added and some hints to his being in the military (ops, etc). I just love that while he’s rapping in the background you can hear the guys singing “This is WAR”. It always gives me chills. Other commenters with Scandinavian roots have pointed out that the rap is not much of a reach as flyting became a part of Nordic cultures by the 19th century. It’s a extremely spirited contest of verbal assaults.
Previously they did a cover of My Mother Told Me (also associated with the video game Assassin’s Creed). J was still a permanent member of the group. The makeup and a lot of the costuming is from MMTM. Among their tattoos are runes spelling out VoicePlay. Cesar was not yet a member of the group. Jose Rosario Jr was the guest artist. Cesar is wearing the same robe that Jose wore in My Mother Told Me.
Layne (beatboxer ) did the arrangement and Eli (bald rock god) the amazing backgrounds using Unreal Engine which is used in filmmaking and video games to provide digital backgrounds. The only real pieces in that set are the tables and benches. Even the door that J walks through was pure CGI. He was standing in front of a screen and the background opened for him. Layne was responsible for the creaking door sound.. It was filmed, not green screen, but at a studio with immense (Full wall!) LED screens.

Loved your reaction to this! Always like to see reactors getting minds blown! As others have already mentioned, they are completely independent, and do almost everything themselves (apart from final audio mix, more involved makeup/prosthetics and some camera work!) - this was filmed in a VR studio with huge LED screen walls - in 90F heat (Florida!) with the AC out, in all that fur, etc! Eli (Ellie) made all the backgrounds in Unreal Engine (as he did for the predecessor, My Mother Told Me, made during lockdown so they were all in seperate locations!) I just love everything they (and Geoff!) do, so subbed for more!

Suggestions in the Viking/pirate theme - My Mother at old Me, Hoist the Colors. Just flat amazing - Halo Theme, Hellfire, Queen in Five Minutes (has a previous member in it before Caesar). Pretty much anything they do is mind-blowing. Welcome the The Players and the VoicePlay rabbit hole.

VoicePlay #TheartreKidsOfACapella. This is why I'm a patron of Them, Geoff, and PattyCake Productions. Geoff sustained B0. That was Cesar DeLaRosa he is the newest and youngest member of the group. The rapper is J. None former member who left the group in 2021 to join the Navy Choir for five years.

Outstanding Reaction!! The high tenor you called out is Eli Jacobson (pronounced ELLY like jelly - not E-Lie). It's Cesar De La Rosa you called out at the beginning. The featured guest (rapping) is J. None who used to be a full time member and then joined the Navy and sings for them. You'll see J. on a lot of #VoicePlay releases from years back. And, you'll get to know the vocal percussion is Layne Stein, also known as VioLayne and Layne does many of VoicePlay's arrangements including this arrangement of #ValhallaCalling. And you already know Geoff. You're on a good streak...There's Warriors, Dream On, Halo Theme, Hellfire, Dragonborn Comes, Seven Nation Army, just to keep you rolling. Until next time!

The composer of this song Miracle of Sound gave this rendition 10 raised ail horns out of ten. I haven't seen it mentioned that this is VoicePlay's follow up to My Mother Told Me. this one has Cesar as the group member and J None as the featured guest while the earlier video has J None as the group member and Jose Rosario Jr as the featured singer. They're wearing the same outfits, with a few changes; Geoff dropped the shirt and draped the fir over his chest, and Cesar is wearing Jose's hooded cloak. Jose also joins VoicePlay for Hoist the Colours and Drunken Sailor (with a founding member as the drunken sailor, who has a speaking part at the end).

Thank you so much for your support! Im actually 50% Swedish and Norwegian and 50% Irish, my familys last name on my mom's side is skarberg and is a very old blood line in Norway and my great grandmother was 100% Swedish and My grandfather was 100% Norwegian. Two countries but only live like 15 miles apart. right on the borders. Originally the Skarberg's were from the fjordlands in the southwest of Norway but moved Northeast because there were more jobs and had more family there and the same goes for my great grandmother she grew up in a tiny village town right on the coast of Sweden to the south and then moved north when her father got a job there so its a miracle that they ever met.
