Shakira dedicated this song to her kid's nanny. The nanny is the one who found out that her ex was cheating on her. Her ex fired the nanny and didn't pay her. When shakira found out about it she rehired her and asked her to be in the video and gave her a percentage profit from the video plus 1M dollars.
That is true! Also I have seemed a lot of ppl criticizing her for attacking her ex father-in-law. Without knowing that man kicked her and the kids out of her own house in Spain. That is her ex-mother in law. In a public event try to silent her by covering Shakira mouth. She referenced that in the part of the video when they try to cover her mouth. The few things that has come out in the media in Spain about what this family put her through. Is unbelievable. So before anyone out their start or are criticizing her for all the vids that she is just talking about her truth and what she has being living through in her personal life. The part that she said “ trabajan de sol a sol y no tienes una escritura “ she is referring to her self. Working so hard to buy her own home for her family and the ex-family lawyer put the rights of the house under the ex-name. Without her knowledge. This family deserved everything that is coming to them because as we have seem Shakira had enough and is taking back control of her life

Shakira has being in the industry since her first album at the age a 18yrs. Hers first money that she made with her first album half of it she founded Pies descalzo foundation and started building schools and poor areas around Colombia. This woman has live in every part of the world and never had any financial promble with any government. All her problems started the moment she felt in love with Piqué. Hi, Love your reaction, and great to hear someone speaking English. Here in Spain well the Barcelona area this has caused a bit of a hooha. Basically, the Pique family's plan was to steal as much as possible from Shakira, have her jailed for 8 years for tax fraud with the father-in-law rigid, and claim custody of her two sons. Shakira been Shakira was having none of that and moved to Miami after her father-in-law evicted her, the children, and Shak's parents from her own house after he had changed the ownership papers. Pique was having relationships with other women and men which started all this off. Since then Shakira has had so much success and released a few songs that have a little dig at Pique and family. This last one is dedicated to Lili the children's nanny who was fired while Shak was away, she opened Shak's eyes to what Pique had been up to. They did not pay Lili or offer compensation only threats. Shak found out and after moving to Miami re-instated her. There is a strong political theme in this song, like low taxes for large companies like Amazon (all those boxes) low wages, and work conditions for the workers. People risk their lives riding the Beast train to find work. The social inequality of life is excessive, and this song says all that. There are a few little digs in it, They say that no evil lasts more than a hundred years but then there's my ex-father-in-law who still thrives. Some followers of the Piques take this to mean that Shak wishes this guy death, they do not understand different cultures' sayings. The scene where the men are trying to gag Shakira refers to a video clip of Pique's mother doing that to Shak in public. The reference to Lili shows how the family treats people whom they see as lesser mortals even tho their actions are illegal. Now the family is trying to sue her for whatever they can, she has had a really tough year with this mafia-type family. The horse was amazingly beautiful and would have been trained to trot like that and most probably would cost more than the average house. Shak certainly looked regal sat upon it. Hope my resume helps, you come across as a very kind and thoughtful guy, the world needs more like that. Too many folk sit dining lobster from their gold-rimmed plate others sit in the carpark of MacDonalds eating their chicken nuggets and fries. Not all of Spain is against Shakira, only the far North East corner Catalonia Province where the press and other media continue to paint her black.

She is dancing the Mexican "quebradita dance" or at least her version of the dance.. and the horse is doing the "paso fino" or "fine steps" those horses are trained for and make them worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
