Fun fact: The Aether was almost a thing, it was the “dream world” that could only be accessed by going to sleep and there was a chance you’d wake up in the Aether
not at all how that went lmao

That was the sky dimension which later in development became The End, the Aether is a separate concept made by the modding team that created it, which is more of an anti-nether. I feel it's important to understand that the Aether and the vanilla Sky dimension are, and have always been, different things. Just with a similar concept.
