- This is my new LEGO AKM. It's my third attempt trying to make an AK and I finally succeeded. I'm really happy about how it turned out!

This is one of the best Lego Ak's I have ever seen, but I have only one critique of it, there is no mag release system so you can do some sick tactical reloads

Showing it firing without the spring guide was a mistake coz that actually detracts from its realism since the real thing can't even chamber a round without the recoil spring installed unless the shooter pushes the bolt forward manually, and firing could then send the bolt back fast enough that it pops up and out of the gun.
Unless of course u wanted to show that this gun is superior to the real gun in that aspect.
Yeah I do agree that removing the guide rod actually detracts from the realism, but i thought it would be a cool feature nonetheless. Anyways thanks for stopping by, I hope you liked it! :)

i wouldnt say the most realistic as the mechanism of the real one but if u meant how it looked good job!
Thank you! I tried to replicate the look of the internals from a real AK. Of course it doesn't run on hot gases produced by a cartridge but I think I did a pretty decent job on it's appearance. I hope to create a more realistic mechanism in the future though, please look forward to seeing it someday!

Not sure if I will make a video about the mechanism anytime soon. Also I think I could make it shoot faster, unfortunately that would require stronger rubber bands that just aren't available in my area. I could also shorten the travel or decrease the weight of the bolt, but that would defeat the entire purpose of this build, which was to be as realistic as possible while having a decent amount of recoil for a Lego gun.

Yeah I agree that I should've increase the gun's capacity, but unfortunately I didn't have the right kind of rubberbands when I filmed the video.

have you tried adding weight blocks? also what kind of rubber band mech is that
I've thought about adding metal Lego pieces but I've yet to find a store that sells the kind of pieces I need. The rubber band mechanism used in this Lego gun is designed by me, it's unqiue because it allows the bolt to reciprocate as far as the real thing does.

Honestly, I'm not quite sure how that would work and it may be troublesome to make it happen. But now that you've mentioned it, I'll do some research and see how that goes.

Actually there's nothing much that you guys can do to get it. I still have no plans on releasing it anytime soon. Maybe if enough time passes then I may decide to release it publicly but until then, I probably wouldn't.

That would be true. However, I plan on making an imrpoved model that hopefully will fix the shortcomings of the current model.
