    I went to my first visit at the Suffolk and Essex Poultry Show. There are some stunning roosters, hens - and ducks too - so join me as I look around.

    Thanks for stopping by the Brimwood Farm channel. We're a teeny urban smallholding trying to grow, garden and keep livestock on a tiny residential garden. Can you be self-sufficient and make money from an urban homestead? We're on a mission to find out.

    It's 1 and a bit years since you uploaded this, but how do they manage disease spread at poultry shows?

      +Leon Callaby I've never heard of a houdan - just looked it up and you must be right. Thanks! Very similar to Poland's. Those Sumatras are gorgeous!

      Yes the mottled one is a Houdan, a French breed. it has 5 toes. The large counterpart also exists.

    I'm renting some land in Cambridgeshire .is 5acres too small to start a CSA?

    • @BrimwoodFarm
      @BrimwoodFarm  Před 9 měsíci

      Hi Paul, sorry for late reply. 5 acres is perfect for a CSA - my plot where I actually grow is probably only an acre at the moment. No CPN needed unless you have livestock like sheep, goats, pigs etc.
