As an IT developer, I would like to have full size arrow keys. Also dedicated keys for page up, page down, insert and delete are a real plus. Hopefully we will see the MX Keys TKL soon

But this is a keyboard for creators, it says so in the title
Creators, developers, they still use software. I prefer the 12 function keys being prioritized over the media keys. I use them way more often than play/pause, airplane mode, the browser or calculator buttons, sleep button, etc. and sometimes the function keys are already part of complex key combinations. Makes no sense to require holding Fn to access them. Also, when I'm doing any typing, having the PgUp, PgDn, Home, and End as secondary functions of the arrow keys was always faster than having them above the arrow keys, and _much, much_ faster than having them next to the arrow keys or above the number row.
yes, I would buy it straightaway if this is a TKL (ten keyless) version!!! as a heavy terminal user dedicated page up, down and arrow keys are very important to me.
I'll definitely buy this when we go back to the office. I have the MX Keys but it is heavy and big.
I have the MX and the backlight is a nightmare, it turns off too fast. must be connected with a cable at all times. Nonsense.

i been waiting for this keyboard i didnt even know i needed. i have the original size mx key and its the best keyboard so far but it takes up way too much space and my hands travels too much. this is a huge downfall as i have small desks and limited space and usually travels around alot.

As MX Keys Mini has less space than the full-size MX Keys, the team had to make a difficult choice. The decision was to remove the keys. However, you can use a combination of Fn + the arrow keys to perform the "page-up" / "page-down" / "home" and "end" functions. For instance, Fn + left arrow will be home. Fn + arrow up will be page-up.

I'd love for a more compact K860 model. The K860 is an ergo keyboard that's so long you can't use it right-handed without offsetting your keyboard or your mouse. If you're going full ergo, consider making a compact 65% version that you can use centered to keep the arms symmetric. If one of those came out I'd be replacing all of my home and work keyboards overnight.

Same price as the bigger, older model
Weird 75% layout with no home/end/pg down/pg up buttons
No wireless receiver included. Incompatible with old receivers. Receiver costs extra 15usd.

I have been hanging on the Logitech K811 keyboards for years. I even have backups. It was the best mini bluetooth keyboard Logitech ever made. I hope this new mini keyboard is just as good it not better.

@@logisupport9414 I ordered the mini. I really don't care about the Logi Bolt, only the bluetooth. That is why I have 3 K811 and 2 k810s. I replaced the battery on 2 of them and others are still boxed. Now that there's the mini, I may sell the boxed ones.
Truth is no other brand has come close to a near perfect mini bluetooth keyboard. The K811 was a masterpiece in my opinion and I am looking forward to the MX Mini.
Nice to see a mini, but would've been nice if home, end, del, pg up and pg down were included too on the side.

MX Keys Mini seems Cool. Original MX Keys is definitively too heavy for me.
Ideally, I wish there will be an MX keyboard without Numeric Keypad (just like Keychron K8).
It is slightly bigger than MX Keys Mini (with full-size arrow keys).

I came here to gripe about that. There are already a hundred different scissor switch keyboards out there with this exact layout, including the Apple keyboard, but there is only one scissor switch TKL on the market, the Matias Aluminum TKL keyboard. I don't understand why Logitech couldn't just make a TKL version of the MX Keys. The other issue with this keyboard is that it is not compatible with the standard dongle. It only works with the newly released Bolt dongle that is only currently supported by the business line of accessories like the MX Master 3 For Business or the MX Anywhere 3 For Business.

Could there please be a TKL version of the MX Keys? I love the board but personally I don’t not need the numpad, it’s a waste of space
I've been waiting for a TKL version as well. Right now the only option is the Matias Aluminum TKL Keyboard, but the reviews are not that great. The other other option is the Keychron K1 but it is not scissor switch, but it is very low profile.

This is exactly what I wanted the first time around. Love my MX Keys, but didn't need the numbers pad. But now I'm disappointed to find out that the MX Keys Mini is not compatible with Logitech USB unifying receiver. What ?!?!? That makes no sense to me. Why? What's the logic there?

My bad it's not the unifying receiver, it's the new receiver.
@@basdfgwe I'm thinking that it's about energy efficiency...? I don't know. But it's strange that the MX Keys connects with the unifying receiver and this one does not. Anyway, I purchase a Bluetooth receiver and will now use it to connect my MX Master Mouse as well. Hope it's just as fast and not laggy.
You can not config your BIOS with this keyboard without $14.99
@@basdfgwe it only works with their new "safer" and slower receiver which you can get for some small extra 15usd.
And don't forget this costs the same as the old, bigger model which did include a receiver.

if it doesn´t have backlighting always on/off buttons - skip it. had to work few evenings with mx keys, and the auto dimming of the backlight drove me insane - if you´re not typing, or not actively move your hand, it would turn the backlight off in order to save energy. so to be able to type again, you have to move your hand, and wait a bit, till back light kicks in. the worst part - you can only turn the backlight off in logitech options, no always on option.
massive flaw, hope they fixed it in mini.

For the same price as the original mx keys with less features... no usb unifying reciever and doesn't seem like logitech learned from the flaws of smart illumination.
This is a slap across the face for current mx keys owners but I'm sure this product is catered towrads the "form over function" community anyways.
What flaws do you experience?

You can't have the backlight permanently enabled. This wouldn't be an issue to most but the sensor's that "detects" your presence is too inconsistent.
Sometimes it backlight would go on randomly or wouldn't turn on at all, forcing you to manually enable the brightness which is a pain in the dark. This seems like very small things to nitpick at which it is. But it is advertised to be a "smart keyboard for creators" and priced at $100.
You can find better backlight consistency from much cheaper keyboards.

The Mini would have been golden if it had a vertical row to the right with the Home, PgUp, PgDn, and End buttons. As someone who uses documents religiously, a keyboard without those dedicated buttons is a deal-breaker. I understand that the majority do not care, but they would also not mind if the keys were there.

@@logisupport9414 I know that, but it's not convenient. And I don't use my laptop keyboard for that very reason. The Fn key plus arrow keys combo will never fully replace dedicated Home/End keys. Not for me at least.
Please @Logitech, release a Compact Layout variant of the MX Keys. In other words, an MX Keys Mini with numeric keypad.
I am using my Dell KM714 for years and waiting for a MX Keys with the same compact size.

@@logisupport9414 Just hope you'll sell it in India. I think I was one of the last people that was able to pick up the G813 in India, after which the product sort of disappeared from the market. The G915 never made it to the shelves. Same issue with the G560 speakers, can't find it on retail.
I have been looking for one that has ergonomic keys and is also low profile, I’m going to get one as it gets available in the APAC market,. Although I think it’s too expensive for a mini keyboard.

In MX Keys Mini, you can use a combination of Fn + the arrow keys to perform the "page-up" / "page-down" / "home" and "end" functions. For instance, Fn + left arrow will be home. Fn + arrow up will be page-up.

I just had MK mini combo to work with MAC . . works but not fully supported . Wished MX series compact .

However, Logi Options software is only available for Windows OS and Intel-based macOS processors for the time being.

Love this; only thing I don't quite get is why are the function keys like this, I mean there are shortcuts for emojis and dictation, but for the media keys there aren't. Media keys are important for me

I will buy this mini . But what is needed more is more thin full size mx keys with less weight.just like magic keyboard2 with numeric keys. And I suggest logitec to make detachable num pad. Another product though,mx master3 is too heavy and big. Small sized & light master3 mouse will be welcomed like mx keys mini.
