As a dancer can I just say that the perfect point toe pads are so good! I used to have to literally prepare my feet for war. Now I use those with no toe tape. It’s incredible.

Umm that's weird. But our dress code is a black leotard and pink tights. I think we have the option to wear skirts but I don't do it so...
I mean I guess it depends on how long the skirt is..

My studio doesn't recommend skirts, so we all wear dance shorts because they conform to our legs

Omg I don't have achilles tendonitis but I know exactly what you mean about flexing your feet and they feel kind of stuck until they crack and then they feel so good! I am a dancer as well, but I've never heard of anyone else having this!!
The exact same thing happens to my thigh
That happens to my fingers sometimes and I have to resist the urge to break them just to feel that crack.

No there is no (wooden) box! How would that even work?
(I edited this because, yes, the toe part of the shoe is called the box, and it is technically a box, just a box made of glue and paper and fabric, not wood like some people think.)

I like ur comment about the future of pointe shoes. And I think it’s great that you’ve found a way that allows u to go thru fewer pairs of shoes. I think going thru them as fast as 5 pair/week, is kind of a problem...creating a lot of waste. And you’re 100% right, maybe there’s room for some more innovation in the world of pointe shoes.

I terms of five pairs a week, I wear flex Griskos and I've made them last a year. That's on quarantine and barely doing any actual pointe.
I have my customized grishko and it last a whole year and several months. Guess it depends on how we treat the shoe and how many en pointe we do everyday

You don’t really choose the pointe shoes you get, when you get fitted they choose the shoes that fits your foot the most.
And yes they are very expensive

I once had a teacher that told the whole class to look at me while doing a tendu derriere but like lying on the floor, I was like super proud that she was using me as an example, but then she was like “you see girls, that is exactly what you should NOT do” 🤡🤡🤡.
My turn out had gone to sh*t, but I bet there were nicer ways to let me know💀💀

One thing I'm from latin America (Honduras) and I speack Also English, but the thing is that, I don't know why I were reading the comments of a direct video of you and they said that they had they pointe shoes at 12 years and I'm 12 and I haven't got them, on my ballet school they give them until Grade 1 and I'm in 2 of Intermediate and they are missing like 1 or 2 years for them to give them.
