      Have you tried these tricks to reduce noise in the system? First, put the return pump on a rubber mat to reduce vibrations. 2nd, move the pump over and get rid of the 90' elbow so that you have a more direct return. 3rd open up the end caps of the drains lines with siphon holes to allow air into the system, (Venturi affect) thus reducing the gurgling and creating more laminar flow in the drain pipes.

    @catwomanva Před 2 lety +66

    It looks really really good. But, since you're trying to make everything a little more polished this time, maybe add a very slim metal bar at the edge of the shelf where you could attach magnetic labels that say what each betta are instead of instead of dry erase marker on each tank. Just a suggestion! Amazing job!

    • @cherylcalifornia125

      I dig the idea but it'd take away from the visible part of the nicely-finished shelves. Maybe something suction-cup related to affix the label to the bottom of the tanks themselves?

    You and Lisa did an amazing job on getting the tanks setup. I appreciate the behind the scenes even though when unexpected things happen and it’s an inconvenience, being able to show that things happen beyond your control is realistic in fish keeping. Can’t wait to see more.

    Wow impressive! What a massive task. One bit of advise on your noise problem is you may have air in the line. Install a pressure relief valve at a high point so you can purge the line.

    You need to add an air escape for the drain pipes. On the top row. Instead of a 90 degree elbow put a "T" and an open pocket pipe that is higher than the lowest drain. That should stop the gurgling noises and smooth out the water drain.
