My dad was a janitor but he was a patriot that served in WW2, Korea, and Vietnam without a high rank. And he took care of us modestly with very little money he made. His retirement was enough to support us as he passed away while we were still young. I am unashamed and very proud of him.

I was under the impression that in the military it was " move up or move on". I didn't personally serve but I went to college across the street from the Coast Guard Academy. They took classes on our campus. I also have friends who served in other branches. There is an article on the Army's website " Is ' Up or Out' Holding us Back?" . I'd provide a link but CZcams removes posts with them. I know Vietnam started much earlier than people realize ( 11/1/1955) but that's still over ten years after WWII ended. I actually lived in Vietnam for 9 months as part of an economic fellowship. The people were welcoming and surprisingly forgiving, even in places like Mỹ Lai where war crimes were committed. To be clear I have nothing but respect for anyone who honorably served.

Nice story! And there is a saying in my country that say "Ang anak matitiis ang magulang pero ang magulang di matitiis ang anak" which mean a parent will do anything for his or her kid to make them happy! Even if sometimes they can't seem to appriciate or take for grant of it. So never be ashamed of your parents cause they love you un conditionally.

I don't understand why disabled people are treated so badly? They could imagine themselves under their shoes and how would they reacted.
One of my friends is in a wheelchair and i've known him since school, never have i hated him for being disabled.

You only have a set of parents and whether or not one is disabled Is no reason to ignore him or her.
You must love them completely because the day they die will be the sadest day of your life.

Great video I really can't believe she did that blaming her father for being dealt a bad hand when she gained way more than her father has throwing him out like a criminal and only changing her mind because he saved her from being crippled that is awful her father is lucky he only became paraplegic fire is dangerous if you get 3rd degree burns on more than 10% of your body you can die and blaming him for the cake and not on that incompetent waiter who doesn't even apologize as you've said in an earlier video the only real disability is the inability to show compassion to people different than you

I used to be ashamed of my mom, because i was afraid of what the other kids might say if they found out, i was always very embarrassed of my mom, so i would ask her to leave so the other kids would not call me a mama's girl, but now I don't care anymore

My Dad was an alcoholic and beat my Mom. He gave her a baby once a year for 6 years. The first baby died at birth so that makes me #3. I saw my Dad last at age 5. Once again at age 14, and then at 28. I had 3 babies of my own at that time. I talked to him after that a couple of times. Then he died. I saw his body and arranged his cremation. I cleaned out his appartment and found his will. He had left what little he had to me. Everytime I see a Dad and a Daughter, I cry. Maybe for what could have been if things were different. I have never had a protector.

Sometimes parents aren't worth remembering. This man did nothing wrong.
Also, know that when you have a parent that is worthless and rotten to the core, the best thing to do is forgive them. You forgive them for you. I t keeps you from being bitter and angry. All that does is eat you like a cancer. Not only that, chances are they made mistakes because they were young and stupid. Sometimes, they are sick with addiction. Don't miss an opportunity to repair a relationship you didn't know you wanted until you got it. Trust me, I know this first hand. The last year of my Dad's life we got to have a relationship. It was really close, but at least I knew he loved me. That is more than I had known my entire life. I am grateful.

    ஒரு சமூகமாக , அதன் அங்கத்தவர்களாக தவறுகளை உணர்வதும் மன்னிப்பு கோருவதும் அற்புதம். As a society, it is wonderful for its members to realize mistakes and apologize.
