3F: 1 Year Day 224 - Lattarula Italian Honey Figs Coming to Market!

Our Lattarula Italian Honey Fig (Ficus carica) bush is ready for harvest, and I think this weekend and next weekend will be peak availability for the next two Saturdays at Lakeside Farmer's Market. These figs are different from the brown turkey figs in that they don't turn brown on the outside and do not have a pink inside. They turn a lighter green, begin to droop and have a whitish inside when ripe. And there is a reason it is called a honey fig because the sweetness is off the charts! Forever Foods Farm.
