How to make a Singapore Sling cocktail

  • The Singapore Sling was originally created for the Raffles Hotel in Singapore in the early 20th century. The recipe for this delicious drink is often recorded incorrectly, so even if you think you've had it, you probably haven't! Here, cocktail expert Robert Hess shows us how to make one the right way.

    Thank you so much for the suggestion...In the mean time here is the...
    RECIPE
    1 1/2 oz Gin
    1/2 oz Cherry Heering
    1/4 oz Cointreau
    1/4 oz Benedictine
    4 oz pineapple juice
    1/2 oz lime juice
    1/3 oz grenadine
    Dash Angostura Bitters
    INSTRUCTIONS
    Shake with ice.
    Strain into an ice filled collins glass.
    Garnish with cherry and a pineapple slice.

    Just ordered your book because I been doing research and havn't been able to find what I been looking for , then seen yours in the video , did some research and found what i been looking for.. big with spiral binders , well written w/ descriptions and photos . also seen many videos on same drinks recipes and out of many many I watch mainly yours and 2 others . Cheers !

    I had 2 Singapore Slings @ Long Bar-Raffles Hotel in 1988 after being up for 40 hrs. Sadly they don't know how to make it properly here in Canada. Great video BTW Cheers, Don

    I tried the Singapore Sling at the Rafferall Hotel many years ago and Wow it was great, Singapore was have the Moon cake festival and that was also great
