FSD made a complete stop but not in time to stop before the solid white where there is a “stop here on red” road sign. The traffic light was too far for FSD to “see”?

FSD was going to stop. You can see it decelerating. What it doesn’t account for is the line on the road. Why is the line so far back? To allow larger vehicles to turn?

Great point! Ya not sure why the line is so far back, it’s also weird being two sets of lights. I’m going to try running this test again today to see if it was just a weird situation or if it just doesn’t know how to control for this intersection.

@realHGA the line was not too far back from the first stoplight; it appears to be a normal distance from that light. But yeah, that is an odd intersection. You are probably right about making room for larger vehicles turning onto that street.

​@@NicksApps @fedderd Okay, I've rewatched the video. I'm going to be honest, it took me two rewatchings to spot the first traffic light. It feels out of place; the only thing justifying it is if it's a tight turn and you need to stop way back to allow trucks and buses to make the turn.
I am not saying it wasn't FSD's fault for not taking it into consideration, but damn, that's a badly designed road.
