It seems we have a new simulator COMING SOON! Microsoft has just today announced Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, which will be a whole new simulator and not just an update to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.

Graphics look great, storm gameplay is interesting, the wealth of new career structures is definitely exciting. I'm mostly just concerned over how they're going to handle UGC going from FS2020 to FS2024. Hopefully everything remains compatible and the choice of sim is a non-factor for content creators.

That's my worry, too.
Well , i am glad that they finally brought seasons to us :) and some kind of visual overhaul .. but i probably will not spend another 50-60 pounds for basically the same but improved sim . Only if there would be huge discount for existing customers . But will see after release :)
Hopefully this would be a expansion like Acceleration Pack instead of a whole new game and hopefully the people who have mods can transfer them to the new version.
I think that would be better... but let's see!

Looks incredible, I think this will be angled towards a career mode, maybe you'll choose to become a rescue helicopter pilot and you'll go though training then complete tasks etc maybe the community can create and add new objectives or scenarios. I'm pretty sure it will be an objective based experience rather than a free flight or do what you want style we got in MSFS 2020. Again, looks incredible.

It truly looks fantastic. Just my main questions is on add-ons and if this will cost but it truly is amazing and good to see that Microsoft has chosen to continue developing and innovating in the flight sim space.
Folk need to ask themselves if it is worth getting for the missions etc. they might only try once.
Hopefully as more comes out we'll see whether it's worth getting for people who only like flying point to point.

Leaves more Questions than Answers. They have more than enough Problems with FS2020, they should rather focus on fixing the Sim instead of doing a complete new one.

I am not happy, Im not mad, I cant judge untill I know more, but I have heard that the devs of 3rd party addons were confused AF

10 years of support they said... well looks like we were deceived again, they haven't even fixed MSFS2020 yet (broken ATC, no weather API, still bad optimization) and now they are pushing brand new game now ? cmon..
I wish it was just an update looks great but man people have spent so much money on MSFS2020 and add-ons i just feel theres more they could develope in MSFS2020 in my opinion

I just cancelled my idea of getting a 4070!
I have a total investmant of around 15,000 in computer, peripherals, VR, Monitors, and addon content just in the last 4 years. I have been flying simulators since the early 80s. That makes it well over 30 to 40 thousand, maybe more keeping up with this sort of thing. Microsoft has left me hanging out to dry a few times. When they came back after 14 yrs with this Sim, i thought... wow, maybe they left just to bring something greater. Well, now, im not so sure. I hope for the best but their track record is not very good anymore. I truly hope i was not duped again. However, i will thank them and X-plane for giving me a good experience that i would never had in my real life. Im 63 now and guess i will just stay with DCS if this goes south. At least my lifetime investments wont seem such a waste. I really was hoping that MS and ASOBO had a true interest in those who have supported them for this very long time... maybe I'm wrong, but... in my lifetime this seems to be a constant.
The New MSFS 2024 is really only msfs 2020 with better missions!! simple as that and its a WHOLE NEW GAME REALLY!!!

What have they fixed? We get great videos before world updates come out and we never get what they show us. Come on people.
MSFS know the Sim was getting really boring and needs something to kick the can down the road for us.
MSFS 2020 look incredible, as well.
But the flight model is crap
this trailer didnt impress me what so ever, graphics look the same, excepte for the missions locations but thats the same for hand crafted airports, but what i noticed is that this sim is copy paste of fs2020 but just with a bunch of missions, its like fs2020= flight sim and fs2024= missions, if u look at the landing at the beluga, the tilt is still shitty, same with the jetbridges (as he mentioned)and also the ground looks is probs from a handcrafted airport so i cant judge there, so its just a prequel, the only thing added is missions.
this is what the trailer is telling me so far...
Fair enough mate... I think there will be big improvements! But we will see!
