- Just showing the progress we've made on the velociraptor fullsuit which is going to debut at DragonCon. NOT FOR SALE. Based off of the original jurassic park raptor "clever girl", this suit will be covered in upholstery fabric and airbrushed for extra coloration and markings.
Head is made entirely out of plastic and foam; tongue and eyes are made but not installed. Sits above the commissioners' head and the jaw moves when your mouth does.
Claws are made entirely out of plastic so are very durable and click against the ground.
Body is made of upholstery foam and reticulated foam; two fans will be added for extra ventilation.

This suit is not ours, it was commissioned and I don't think she went to the parade. She only wore it for a short time earlier in the day

Aww, I'm so sad I never got a glimpse of this at Dragon*con. Sad face. I bet you were in the parade... why did I decide not to go to the parade this year?? T_T
Monoyasha I have to say, I have been watching you male suits ever since I saw your first video on youtube, I even have one of them. I am constantly impressed with your work and find myself more and more so every time you work.
But this blows my mind, you have completely outdone yourself and I feel so blessed to own one of your pieces. You have an AMAZING gift and I'm so glad you can do what you love for a living.

Even in this wip form, this suit looks outstanding. The movement and shape is incredible! Can't wait to see the final look!
@DragonHeart00926 The tail is just solid cushion foam and the jaw is a trade secret sorries
I absolutely adore the head, especially the jaw motion! I have my own raptor costume and this is really making me want to redo my own head and get my jaw to work properly. Can't wait to see the finished product! Your work is inspiring.
yes they are my inspiration. this was my first test with the entire body. look to my finished video as i did lean more forward
you've got a good chance of possibly working in the movies one of these days with skills like that. that's incredible.

@blackninjakat that was my original plan but then balance and tiring out would be an issue as i have learned from the werewolf. i much rather the commissioner be able to perform in the suit and not get injured. this is why the fake separate legs are a good alternative for a future suit

@leslie13536 It's just very thick foam. It has the strap along the backside of it to help keep it from flopping too much but that's it.
That's the coolest costume ever! I can't wait until it's finished!

@StormAkima Head is a slush cast from a mold I sculpted out and such; it's filled with rigid foam and resin. Legs are made from various density upholstery foams

@sugarpoultry Well, they aren't going to be any bigger because i'm not making this suit with fur, just upholstery fabric. Raptors actually had very muscular legs

@Monoyasha oh wow! There's no structure in there or anything?!?! That's even more amazing! I've built out the structure and everything, but it's starting to get too heavy for itself, so I'm having to use 3 separate belt/straps to keep it parallel xD

Amazing work! I only have two questions,
One, how well can you see? And how will you 'hide' your sight area?

@Tartiitastic This isn't a fursuit, actually. This is a mascot. xD And the price of one of these would be about what a quadsuit would run, and that's all found on my website.

You know... I have mixed feeling about fursuits. I think most of them are... strange. However, I would actually love to see the end product of this project.

HOW DID YOU DO THE JAW MOVING PART I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT IT BECAUSE I WANT TO ADD IT TO MY MECHAGODZILLA COSPLAY
i have a helmet for my head which has a jaw mechanism attached to the bottom raptor jaw so my mouth moves and makes the raptor mouth move

How do you make the jaw open when the raptor head is on top of your head, and your head is in its neck????? I've research how to make it and can't seem to find clues to how it works TT v TT
