"I WAS WRONG" AND "COLD"
Great reaction!!
Agreed!!!
Chris does an awesome job of any song he performs. His "I was Wrong" or "Tennessee Whiskey" live at Austin City Limits, he is performing live, sounds awesome.
Chris Stapleton is a different breed of country music singer. Tennessee Whiskey, Sometimes I Cry ( at the Bing Lounge) are two great songs of his to check out
Agree! He is a different breed that defies being classified in a single genre.
"I Was Wrong," live at Austin City Limits (there's a🔥guitar at the end the studio doesn't have) - displays vocals/guitar skills
"Tennessee Whiskey," live at Austin City Limits, singing with his wife on harmony
"Cold"
"Death Row"
"Fire Away," do the official music video on this one
"Sometimes I Cry," live at Bing Lounge
"Devil Always Made Me Think Twice"
"Watch You Burn" - a message to the Vegas shooter
I saw him in concert last week and was so hoping he'd play this live, but he didn't. We did get the beginning of Free Bird, though. Lol
Go down this rabbit hole, you'll be happy!
@@Melly01 I'm jealous haven't been able to see him live yet. It's on my bucket list though
@@frabkiesapp9657 100% go if you get the chance! Aside from the little melody changes and switch-ups he makes, he sounds exactly like he does in every live performance video you see, and Morgane was with him. I braved my most hated venue in the area, the one I only go to for VERY special artists, to go see him. One way in, one way out ... even paying for premium VIP parking it took us darn near 45 minutes to get out of the parking lot. TOTALLY worth it. Totally. :)
Don't forget about Barely Alive
@@workhardretireearly YASSSSSSSS omg THAT ONE 🙌
Chris Stapleton can do anything
My favorite song by Chris is "Cold"
React to live version. I think CMA's.
String section. Classy as hell
There isn’t a bad Chris Stapleton song. They’re all “blow you away” good. Straight up, the BEST!
Cold
I was wrong live
He did the National Anthem at the Super Bowl 2023. The most amazing performance ever. Anything he dies live.
I was wrong - live performance in Austin
Any song by Chris you can’t go wrong honestly he is a pure talent
COLD AND TREAT YOU RIGHT by Chris stapleton
Weekend will be great!
Chris transcends genres. He's truly insane.
Would love to see your reaction to Chris Stapleton's live cover of Whipping Post. Phenomenal!
All of his songs are great. “Tennessee Whiskey” is his most popular and one of the best. “What Are You Listening To” is also really good.
All of his songs are fckn AMAZING!! You can't pick *just* two. Seriously.
Barely Alive acoustic version by Chris. Really showcases his vocals.
Tennessee Whiskey live at Austin City limits.
Whipping Post(Allman brothers cover)
Cold at the amc awards! Mind blowing.
I was wrong, death row. Btw, you can pick any 2 songs, they are all great
Fun fact. He sings and plays that awesome guitar. Love the fact that he made it his own. The man is a genius.
Death Row, Starting over, Cold, Either Way, Sometimes I Cry, What are you listening to.
Can't possibly list them all.
To break your heart - Either Way
To get a lift - Starting Over or LA Nights
To make you long for the lady who left - What are you listening to
To make you regret you actions - I Was Wrong Austin City Limits Live
I think you get the point, don't limit yourself to just two of his songs.
I was wrong- massive guitar solo at ACL live
Two songs you have to hear, "Sometimes I Cry" and "What are you listening to" and so many more. I really like " I was wrong" and "Death Row". Happy listening you have turned the corner.
You should hear him singing, sometimes I cry
Death Row (record) and Sometimes I Cry (Live, Bing Lounge) are my top two, though it is hard to choose as there is no such thing as a bad Chris Stapleton song.
Others to look out for:
Fool Me Again (live)
Fire Away (Video. Have tissues to hand, very hard hitting mental health issues theme).
I Was Wrong. (Live, Austin City Limits)
Tennesse Whiskey (Live, Austin City Limits)
Joy (collaboration with Santana, record)
Watch You Burn (record)
Nothing Compares To You - his live tribute to Prince
Do Right Woman- his live tribute to Aretha Franklin
His live cover of It's A Man's World (he was in the audience watching a band and they asked him to come up on stage - did this amazing cover completely spontaneously)
Cold (CMA awards live)
Tennessee Whiskey and Drink You Away - His performance with Justin Timberland at the 2015 CMA awards (jaw dropping)
Say Something (either the video or live on the Jimmy Fallon show)
Hold On - Live collaboration with HER
Barely Alive (Bing Lounge)
Daddy Doesn't Pray Any More (Record. Find that box of tissues again and have it to hand, regardless of whether you're religious or not!)
Maggie (Yet more tissues needed!!)
Sometimes I cry!!!! Bing Lounge.. Also "I was Wrong"!!!. I've never seen him play this live but.. I Guarantee Chris played the lead sections on Guitar. It has his signature sound.!!!
My Two suggestions are "Whipping Post" and "Its a man's World", an old James Brown song. Actually you could throw two darts at a poster of all of Chris Stapleton's songs and any two you hit would be good, but those two are old rock and roll favorites that he does as well as could be.
It’s a man’s world
Tennessee Whiskey, Cold, Either Way, Fire Away. In fact his entire catalog on songs
Guarantee you will go down the rabbit whole with us and Chris's music. He sings and plays all this stuff. A vet talented man.
Listen to him sing COLD.
Also he sings. EITHER WAY. This man can sing anything. He hits you in the heart. He’s perfect!
IN MY OPINION "I WAS WRONG" & "COLD"!!!!!!!!!!!!! GREAT REACTION DUDE. THANKS!!!!!!!!!!! NEW SUB HERE. OF COURSE HE HAS ANOTHER 32 CHARTED SONGS & MANY OTHERS THAT SHOULD OF CHARTED. HE IS A MUSICAL GENIUS NO DOUBT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cold song at CMA, award winning, Starting Over album
Actually, my two favorites are “Whiskey and You”, and “Either Way”.
That's Chris playing the guitar.
tennessee whiskey my favorite, there's no one who has a voice like this man, all his music is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dude is ridiculous and I’ve watched the others you’ve done to him but Cold kills it. Has that blues that you like
OMG! Whiskey Sunrise and Midnight Train To Memphis!
“Cold” live from the 2021 CMAs
Check out his tiny desk performance. Acoustic brilliance.
You absolutely need to listen to Death Row by Chris Stapleton, my favorite song of his and it's so damn soulful
Tennessee whiskey, sometimes I cry, a man's world
Looking forward to more Chris Stapleton music reactions. Love to many to just give you two🙂
"Cold" and "Fire Away". However, "Outlaw State of Mind" has maybe the best arrangement of Guitar and Harmonica that has ever been recorded.
The guitar is like an extension of his voice.
Tennessee Whiskey, Cold, Cry, Fire Away... 🔥
Amazing first I'm hearing this recording. I've heard of it in last few days. Been listening to Chris for years though. I'm sure by now you've learned he's playing it too.
Great reaction. Chris Stapleton is in a league of his own. He is generally better live so pick his live performances over his studio versions whenever possible. I would recommend his live performances of “Sometimes I Cry” at the Binge Lounge, his Austin City Limits performance of "Tennessee Whiskey" and “I Was Wrong,” which showcases an awesome guitar solo, his impromptu cover of James Brown's “It's A Man's World,” his tribute performances to Prince and Aretha Franklin, any other live performance, as well as his music video "Fire Away." Be forewarned; the last one is a tear-jerker, no matter how tough you are. I would also highly recommend his performance of "Cold" at the 2021 CMA Awards.
He didn't actually start out as a singer but limited himself to songwriting. He has written and co-written over 170 songs, among them six number-one country songs, earning him nine ASCAP Country awards, including the Vanguard Award. His songs have been recorded by some of music's biggest stars, including Adele, Brad Paisley, and Dierks Bentley. He has co-written songs with Vince Gill, Peter Frampton, Sheryl Crow, and Ed Sheeran, to name a few. He also wrote some songs for feature films, which are included on their respective soundtracks.
In 2007, Chris Stapleton started as the frontman for the bluegrass band The Steel Drivers, which is how I first learned of him. In 2010, he started a Southern Rock band called The Jompson Brothers. In 2013 he started his solo career after being signed by Mercury Nashville. He surprisingly did not become an overnight success. However, He eventually did become well-known and has been unstoppable ever since. He has received numerous awards and nominations. He is the recipient of five Grammys, seven Academy of Country Music Awards, ten Country Music Association Awards, five Billboard Music Awards, two iHeartRadio Music Awards, and others.
Sometimes I Cry, acoustic bing lounge, cover song It’s a mans world, he was in the audience and band had him perform with them unrehearsed it is a great song and he totally blows your mind, another is fool me again will he is special I promise every song he does he owns it by heart and soul pure magic.
"Tennessee Whiskey" live at Austin City Limits, and 'Fire Away' video...awesome 2015 CMA Awards performance with Justin Timberlake...
Yes to the weekend
Great reaction brother:)
Loved the reaction to this fantastic artist! Chris is SUCH a versatile singer! Great reaction!
Cold! I was wrong! Tennessee Whiskey! The man is brilliant
Cold and death row does for me!
I loved your reaction to Chris! Anything he sings is unreal. I hadn't heard this song before, THANK YOU!! I love to hear him play the guitar, he just is unbelievable. I love 2 of his old songs a lot. Treat You Right and Fool Me Again. For his new songs, I think "Cold", the one with orchestra is so beautiful.
Songs that blow your socks off? Here's a list:
"Cold" live performance at the CMS Awards, "Tennessee Whiskey", "Death Row", "I Was Wrong". He's today's number one artist among all mysic lovers. It doesn't matter what music genre folks like, he appeals to absolutely everyone. I love him!!! Everything about him, from his voice, his guitar playing skills, the soul in his music, his lyrics, his looks, everything!
Cold and Sometimes I Cry would be my top 2
ANYTHING RECORDED LIVE!...from Chris is a banger!...from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 🤠
Watch him live for sure! He's best when he's doing it live!!!
Death Row, Blue Side of the Mountain. These are earlier songs but WOW....they are special.
This is one of the all time best solos, imo. I could literally have that on in the background all day. He's got the feel of Gilmore, but with a grittier bent.
Tennessee Whiskey and sometimes I cry are two songs I recommend
His song "Cold" live at the 2021 CMA awards
I was wrong and cold, can’t go wrong
Live Whiskey and You and the CMA's, I Was Wrong (live), John Fogerty cover of Joy of My Life, What Are You Listening to?, Deathrow, Hillbilly Blood, Starting Over (video) nearly anything he sings is fantastic...you won't be disappointed.
Loved your reaction.. Chris is not only country, but blues, soul, rock and more).. he covers all genres. Other Chris amazing songs : I Was Wrong - Either Way - cover of 'It's a Man's World - Death Row - Fire Away (movie video) - Higher - Cold - Sometimes I Cry - Barely Alive - and there are so many more songs (past and present) out there that totally amaze!!
Loved your reaction to one of the most talented musician's on the planet right now! Great job brother!
You like this , you’ve got to dive into Chris and his covers. He can sing or cover literally anything. Barely alive is my favorite to showcase his vocals. I was wrong, death row, and check out his prince cover of nothing compares to you .
Hell Yeah! I'm UP for that.
Fire away and Tennessee whiskey
So many great songs from Chris, but if you have had your heart broken then don't listen to Cold, it will bring back all those emotions you felt when you lost your love! It is a killer track!!
You ar my sunshine that really good too
I was wrong.. Austin city limits live.!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤪🤪🤪
I’ve never heard of someone who didn’t like Chris Stapleton.
You need to check out Chris' "Tennessee Whiskey" LIVE that he does with his wife. He is one of the top demands for concerts this year in America. He's been pigeon holed in the country music genre but he is so much more than that. Check him out Dave.
BTW, he does the backup vocals and the screaming at the end and the guitar solo. Next check out Volbeat "Don't Tread On Me" Killer cover!
Another one you should check out by Chris is "Parachute" LIVE on SNL.
@@cristyrawks6325 ooooh haven't seen that! Call me Alice cuz I'm following that rabbit down the hole. Thanks Cristy!
The Volbeat cover is very good. Nothing radical, the difference is in Micheal's vocals. Not unlike Corey Taylor's take on Holier than Thou
@@fredbarnes2049 Nothing radical but so close and yet so far. lol I loved it when I first heard it.... and yes Taylor does a mighty fine job too. 😁😋
Fire away....broken halos....death row. R my favorites songs by cris. Enjoy 😉
I like, I was wrong, and his newer one, it's called cold, but the live version! They are also video's so that makes them better as well. He's excellent live, he's just excellent period.
Tennessee Whiskey & Broken Halos
Print a list of all his songs, throw a dart at the papers, and it will make you love him even more.
Fire Away & It's a Man's Man's World
Pick any live version of any song he sings. As amazing as he sounds on recordings, his live music will blow you away.
Cold, Tennessee whiskey, I was Wrong, Death Row.
Chris just performed on the 2021 CMA’s with Jennifer Hudson… “You are My Sunshine” and it’s great, but my fave was his live performance on that same show of his song “Cold”… just CHILLINGLY good 🥶
If you’re gonna react to “Cold” do that one!
I heard that this one almost wasn't included on the album. That would have been tragic. ••• Thanks! PEACE!!! (-:
Oh boy you're in for a ride
Two best..tennesse whiskey, death row, cold.
I listen to the song say something every morning by Chris Stapleton and Justin Timberlake
Cold and Tennessee whiskey
Chris Stapleton- Whiskey and you, Cold,
I bet you listen to that a few more times .
Who can pick 2 Chris Stapleton songs for you??? They are all good, because Chris gives his all for EVERY song. Enjoy the rabbit hole!
Hot !!!
Love Metallica and love Chris Stapleton! Never been into country but Chris is something else.
Check out any of his live performances eg I was wrong or sometimes I cry
I did sometimes I cry a few days ago 😁
@@DCReacts1984 yes I just watched it!! I’ve only come across your clips now and I’m catching up bud 😊 Greetings from Ireland.
Listening to Tennessee whiskey and I was wrong and Cole
Either Way and Sometimes I Cry
Amazing
Sometimes I Cry and I was Wrong
Two songs? Your cutting him short!
Whiskey and You live at the CMT awards
Barely Alive acoustic version
Will definitely do way more but wanted the top 2 performances first
Barely Alive! Barely Alive! Barely Alive! lol
I will third Barely Alive is so underatted!!! Barely Alive for two counts from me !!
Check how many awards and likes etc. He has. You will see.
Excellent sir! Chris Stapleton is an American singer/songwriter/guitarist who plays country and blues. In my opinion the best version of this on the album, and one of the best songs in the Blacklist period. This is maybe just a bit more hardcore blues than is usual for him, he's got an excellent soft voice also. Try Tennessee Whiskey (the song, not necessarily the drink) and Sometimes I Cry. Also check out Hu's cover of Through the Never, also from the Blacklist. It's as good as this in a completely different way...needless to say fantastic reaction. Considering I just watched one of worst ones I've ever seen, it washed the bad taste out of my mouth. Thank you!
I'm not sure he's got that much material out there. He's not new in any way but he's spent most of his career writing for other people. But Chris Stapleton Sunday is a lovely idea!
@@fredbarnes2049 I agree
@@cristyrawks6325 Hey he asked!
@@fredbarnes2049 ha for sure
