Hey boss, I have a question , I have eczema and work with someone who has a bit serious case of this. I don’t have nothing against it but I wanted to make sure if dead skin cells fall on me and invade my pores per say, if I were to have a kid in the future, will there be likely a chance I could get this and pass it to someone, I know it says not contagious… but everything happens for a reason so If you can I’d like this clarified, I don’t want to be rude or anything but I can’t have anymore things in my body. I am serious when it comes to my health because I’ve had issues of my own from this skin condition. Regardless viruses and abnormalities are not something I play with especially when Covid came out, poor individuals that don’t have the luxury to be 100% clean in general.
Eczema is definitely not contagious at all. 0% chance you or your future children can catch it from exposure to dead skin cells (or any other type of exposure) from a person who has eczema. The cause of eczema is complicated but it is definitely NOT due to virus or any other type of infection. So don’t worry about that! (of course your future kids could possibly still end up with eczema…just because it is a very common condition. but they definitely would not have caught it from exposure to dead skin cells like you are asking about).
@@JMGardnerMDhello I appreciate the your feedback, it was a great answer, when you mean complicated what underlying factors would that cause? Is it an allergic based immune disorder. And I was asking in regards to the Nevus sebaceous as well whether if I were to have eczema and have someone with this birthmark, Is it contagious, I know it says otherwise. When I did the research I saw the magliant stage where other cells attack the neighboring tissue, theoretically if that persons cells were to fall into your pores can you get “infected” persay knowing you don’t have a strong enough skin barrier because of the condition eczema is really my question to you, I wondered this a while.
Please see your dermatologist to discuss your situation and get a treatment recommendation that is best for you. I’m not sure how much removal costs. A lot of times we as doctors have very little knowledge of what the actual charge is for the patient (not because we don’t want to know, but because the billing process in modern medicine in the USA is very complex unfortunately). But you can ask your doctor to see if their office can work with your insurance company to figure out an approximate cost. If you are outside the USA, then I’m not sure how it works but your doctor may know. Best wishes for health and healing.
Why is it that I feel things more sensitively on the nevus sebaceus area on the scalp than anywhere else on the scalp ? I tend to play with my hair and rub that spot always throughout the day, because the sensations are felt so much more intensely…it’s tiny and my hair covers it but it provides me comfort n soothes me lol I know it’s crazy but I can literally feel it at diff points in my life it’s insane … it’s like I can feel it seperate from my scalp wayyyy diff sensations … must have some nerve receptor action there
That is fascinating. Thank you for sharing. Nevus sebaceus is a sort of malformation of the normal skin components. So it may be that there is different nerve connection in that area. I will have to investigate further to see if this is something that has been reported before.

My daughter got one the size of 2cm in diameter, should it be remove or will there be a health issue in the future ?

I have one can you suggest me what to do? I want to remove it please help and also can you tell me what will be the cost?
