just stupid how locals call in a "firearm" when its not even beieng fired. and all of a sudden deciding to check the map for cop cars "hunch"
Local thing is well known, so it is kind of on them at this point.
your shit makes no sense. dashcams are now required by everyone to use. so people who dont have them on are told to put them on soon or theyll be in trouble. and pd dispatch is always going through the dash cams because of how often cars are getting stolen for their turbos. so when they swap through and see a car randomly in the middle of nowhere and not answering calls they see whats going on. this wouldnt of happened as fast if cops didnt have to put cams in their cars now, so i guess turbo stealing is starting to have its issues. and k making them sign off means nothing if they dont do what they always do in dispatch and type in 10-42 off duty lol
if i'm not wrong locals call it in if you point it at someone. Also cop cars don't appear on the map. the grey marker is the EMS.
Chatters always want to scream meta even when there isn't any. Can't you ever just think it sucks without having to accuse the other side? This goes for cop viewers, too. Cop viewers and CG viewers are the exact same people saying the exact same shit just about the other group.
You might want to look up the law against brandishing a firearm. It makes sense for locals to call in people running around with guns out.

LIVE dash cam is very powerful. I understand recorded dashes for investigations but that's just insane.

I feel like they need to change the ping system to where a local has to physically see you to call shit in.
This is an issue with how gta 5 handles local 911s, hell in the base game animals will call the cops on you if you shoot. I'm sure it's not an easy fix.

Honestly, PD may aswell use twitch streams and clips for evidence and to find shit out now... Its now almost physically impossible to even take a cop car for a turbo without a live stream of your location going to PD.. Wow

Dashcams been in since the beginning of the server. Cops just never used them because they didn’t see the point. But with the amount of cop cars being stolen, they’ve put them in.
It shouldn’t be that easy to steal a cop car in the first place.

@@KINGofACAB by 1 person. Not only do you need a constant supply of lockpicks you also have to be good at the mini game because it's quick af, hell cops aren't able to slimjim their own cars because of it and they have unlimited attempts. Even K sometimes needs multiple tries to steal a cop car

Dash cams are meh in this situation that's not an active call but fair enough i guess. But imo one of the worst things on the server is the sensitivity to local firearms spotted calls. I'm no coding wizard and don't know how difficult it would be, but at most the locals should only call it in if the gun is pointed at them causing them to run away (which is already a base gta mechanic so can't be too hard). If not that, then back to shots fired calls only.

All dispatch does it just sit inside MRPD. They can't even go on ridealongs right now with cops on scenes. And watching Dashcams is really only thing they can do.

i dont think u know much about dash cam. if u pay for a lvie service like ring cam, they can see thru any of your camera, including dash cam. welcome to 2024 buddy. the more security u want, the less secure u are.

I guess after cops start getting too many Ws, crims will be able to hack the PD network to view the dashcam feeds.

Getting dash cams over turbo thefts is crazy, they know it’s a frequent thing, they know there’s only one place to check parts, why not just do your jobs as cops and station cops there in shifts like you should instead of implementing mechanics that ruin rp?
PD doesn't have anywhere near the numbers to do something like that. Dashcams are being used more now due to the chain cop car robbing. Maybe don't spam rob things that will result in mechanics that will bite you in the ass?

Yup, they are just a pain to keep running. Everytime you park you need to re add one and they cost either $150/$250 for the "Go Pro". I think the issue is with how powerful they are. Live dash cams are not a thing in real life and being able to click a button and see exactly where the car is is and what it’s doing is a bit ridiculous.

@@Wegame119they buy dash cams from the armory and install them in the cars. It's a choice in RP so dispatch can see what's happening. Pretty sure they have a time limit and have to be installed daily. And there is only video from the cab, no audio.

No, they have actual dashcams.
Also, dispatch has nothing else to do. They just sit inside MRPD the whole day and checking dashcams is more or less only thing possible.
