- The Strain Hunters are back! Almost 5 years after Franco tragically passed away from malaria, the Strain Hunters team set off on a new expedition, to continue Franco's legacy. Arjan returns to the home of the AmaMpondo people in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa, what used to be the Transkei region. Franco spent several years working in the region with the locals and had a large influence on how the region has developed. Arjan teams up with Strain Hunters Dust, Simon and Mr.X in a new expedition where they explore remote regions of Pondo Land through the Umzimvubu river. This one is for Franco!
Tens of thousands of amampondo farmers continue to cultivate landrace cannabis along the Umzimvubu river. spreading western hybrids into the home of landraces doesnt preserve them, it destroys them. he says in the first few minutes that you can see cheese everywhere. what do you think happens to the pollen?

@SuperElske I'm not against it. I grow it myself. But I have seen a few people get irritated when they use a lot of it on a day to day basis. It's similar with alcohol, if you overuse it you can get irritated.

Man thank you guys for mentioning the carrot smell I've been saying that for years first place I've ever smelt that smell was in Jamaica in 92 when I moved there with my dad what an amazing experience I got to have as a teenager being from Indiana 14 years old and growing up in the jungle with my dad VICTOR it was awesome I rarely came back to Indiana until 1998 or 1999 best experience a 14 year old punk from the suburbs of Chicago awesome but my dad's bregins would take me to there giant grows up in the mountains and jungles of Jamaica wow the carrot 🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕 smells on some of the fresh sativa's

i think it's very interesting that arjan takes seeds from there to mix with some other genetics on the lab and he gives them some of their genetics to mix with the landraces.
it's really a symbiotic relationship plant-breeding wise

Thank you for risking yourself and the team to venture out into the world and share this world with us. Knowledge is power and learning all these amazing benefits to Landraces and how they survived is a true testament to their quality and strength as plants with strong natural terps bred by mother nature! I have a long line of heritage and we have traveled all around the world from Northern Africa, to France all the way into Israel and now in the United States. It is a great mystery on what was hidden that kept all these people going. The love behind this plant is universal across the world without any past connection. The more i connect the more i realize this flower is the key for Love in the world. We must find the strains that influence us the most and keep them safe around the world like a conservation for cannabis Land Race. Anyways cheers!
