I just bought the road six tires. Haven’t installed yet but really look forward to giving them a try. Gonna see how they handle winter roads in Michigan.
@michiganmoto7687 WINTER!!! No sirski lol. I'll ride pretty cold, but not dead winter...well maybe once...twice a few years ago on a nice December day.
Coming from 20k kilometers on Roadtec 01s, Road 6 is a day and night So comfortable, easy to flick and grip like crazy, especially in the rain Totally transforms experience of riding a bike
I may have to go for the 6s next round. I'm back in love with my 5s. Already put about 2k miles on my tires and they still have the nubbies.
Thanks for watching
I had mine with my V-Strom 650 and made ~12000 miles, but tires had flattening due to ~3k miles being Iowa\Nebraska straight line. Great tires!
@@tryharder3214 yup, no complaints here. New pair feeling butter smooth.
What exactly are you risking by riding down to the wear bars? as long as the tires aren't squared off I'd ride them till they were really done.
Michelin Road 6 are fantastic tires for any road bike.
Meh, they had a bit more life in them but someone much smarter than me put them there so we know when to change them. Possible loss of traction under wet conditions due to inability to properly displace water, exaggerated warping and profile change between the harder and softer compounds. They may get a little gripper as they get closer to being slicks but that's subjective. and they also will have more chance of exposing cord on hard stops. With that being said I have definitely gone past the wear indicators on a set before so I get what your saying too. I had the beans to spend at the time so I did and just got it over with. Thanks for watching.
@@xxSTONExx Thanks, I'm a bit of a miser, I like to get the last bit out of everything😃 subbed.
I rode Roadtec 01s right to the indicators on the back: they slip much easier then when new. Corner, wet road is enough to make you step 10cm out of the line. Didn't risk it on the front and changed them as soon as they started reaching the indicator.
