For me, it just doesn't make any mask at all I'm doing everything just as you said, and that red overlay does not appear when I'm drawing on the footage, and when I invert mask the whole screen goes red just as if those blue lines never did anything

Hi, Is there a max len of a clip for a magic mask? I've not got it to
complete. Even a simple head and shoulder clip. Select the person. She
is seated and only occasionally moves a hand or her head a little.
Normal for someone talking. Mask is a single stroke. It processes
5mins of clip then stops. No error, nothing. Ive pressed play fwd again.
pause fwd. Nothing.
This is just one example. There are others. Do you have any ideas ?
All I actually want to do is darken 1 part of the wall behind her. May
be majic mask is not the right way. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks

Hello, I have a selection on a home video where my daughter is on a horse. I n trying to select her and the horse, only she is selected and sometimes maybe the horse. I have to keep going thru to select and correct the horse selection. Its very gruelling. Is there a better easier way to make a larger selection?

Why if I do literally anything I lose my mask and am forced to retrack... I cant add 2 effects to the node either... If I try to add another node it doesnt work.. If I duplicate (copy n paste) the original node onto new node and try to change the effect so I can have 2 effects it breaks the tracking of the 1st node.... ughh wtf.. .. and literally the mask just breaKS ALL the time for no reASON... its AWFUL

Resolve has issues with mask and tracking. I noticed sometimes information doesn’t stay after you save the project

Nice tutorial. QQ not sure if this is silly question since I’m not too familiar with DR, in the color tab, would u also be able to export alpha channel when using magic mask feature? Or do u have to use a different DR tab/feature? Thx!

at 1:40 you add a new node, I havent used nodes much yet, so I am not sure what hotkey you did, and if I right click to add node, I am not sure which to pick

If you use Alt+S it will add a serial node. Thats the type of node you see him use in the video. to understand the how the nodes differ watching a video will probably help in understanding. Serial node is a good basic beginner way for you to start.
