My 95 year old mom just passed the other day. She used to call me angel baby. I was crying that no one would ever call me that again. I randomly decided to listen to Rita Wilson sing for the first time in my life. My mom had an amazing singing voice too. I am crying right now. How beautiful. Thanks Mama, I hear you. 💜🙏🏼🎶🎶🎶
It’s 1:48 in the morning and couldn’t sleep. Stumbled upon Rita’s TedX talk she said “ask yourself one question, what do you want?” The songs on AM/FM and this message was just what I needed to hear after going through a life changing traumas for the last 6 years! My breast cancer, my husband addiction & recovery, the Pandemic and estrangement from my only daughter. I wake up praying to God please help me and give me the strength I need to get through it 🙏 Rita’s message and the songs encouraged me and gave me such hope. I see my life in her videos. The girl I used to be. The dreams I had. The fun and joy I had in my youth. Thank you Rita, I love your Voice ❤️

I do love this version of a classic song. Rita has a wonderful take and I agree with a previous comment that her phrasing is unique and more melodic than other versions. One little word to whoever posted this. The title of this song is: Angel Of The Morning, not Angel in the morning. I know it’s a small thing but I noticed it immediately.
P.P. Arnold and Dusty Springfield sing it with such raw emotion that I prefer their renditions. Juice Newton’s version is very pretty and is the one that typically gets stuck in my head. Rita did a very nice job.

I agree with my Swedish friend below, Mr. Lofqvist. BEST version of Angel of the Morning. Better than Juice Newton's over-produced AM single version of the early 1970's. Why? Rita Wilson deploys dynamics . . . Gushes it out in the first chorus. And by Act 3, takes it to a crescendo that overwhelms any other version. What I also love: Rita Wilson is a talent, and an actress with range. And did not use her husband Tom Hanks to promote this; *I* am the one invoking that name. I love this couples' integrity, talent and good sense.
Just FYI, Juice Newton's version was from 1981. I agree with you that it was horribly overproduced. The original one by Merrilee Rush in 1969 (there were a few other lesser-known ones in the 60s, but Rush's was the big hit) was still a little "bombastic", but was much more soulful and dynamic.
