The song title translates literally to "be quiet and well behaved" but means more "sit down and shut up" and it's about people being told to sit down and shut up and get back in line and how they are not going to do that. Its a celebration of uniqueness and moving past predjudice and learning to love and accept people for who they are instead of telling people who are slightly different to "sit down and shut up"!
Zitti e buoni is a figure of speech used to put somebody in their place in this particular context is against the judgemental people and more specifically who is singing is telling shut up and behave to those who hypothetically would judge him for the way he is.

They've just accepted that america will call them mah-na-skin so they go with it but it's a Danish word using the letter "å " so its pronounced more like Moh-na-skin.

I'd say they were fully aware of the impression they were making. It's not that they didn't care, it was actually their goal. Look at Damiano's acting on stage. He acts completely differently in different occasions, completely changing his movements, way of speaking, looks, etc. It's like a whole persona that he had, and that was exactly the vibe they wanted to promote at the time.

I don't know about Italy, but they have been blowing up in the US since they won Eurovision back in 2021. They have a lot of songs in English as well.
