  • Steroids can cause insulin resistance. This means that even though your body is producing insulin, the cells are not using the insulin correctly so the sugar starts to accumulate in the blood causing high blood sugar or hyperglycemia.

    I took predisone for poison ivy for two weeks and i now have peripheral neuropathy in my feet. will it go away or am I screwed?

    I take corticosteroids for bronchial asthma . Does it affect my blood sugar level

      I understand that it does. I’m no doctor, so speak to your GP. I’m in the same situation as you and since taking inhaler steroids my Heamoglobin A1c levels have increased.

    Researches say testosterone injection benefits in diabetes if yes then pct is needed or not?

    This doesn’t explain clearly how steroids induced hyperglycaemia.

    The best way to control blood glucose levels is diet, ultra low carb, no sugar. Pills and injections cannot fix a dietary problem
