📒 Sundaranana is a beautiful Shiva bhajan composed and sung by DrManikantan. The bhajan alludes to the many forms in which Shiva is known amongst his devotees. In attempts to capture the true Shiva, he has been portrayed as the serious ascetic, or the fierce warrior, or the meditative god living on top of Kailasha. He is the destroyer, but also the transformer. This bhajan, however, assimilates the different images of Shiva, to one, Sundaranana, the ultimate symbol of beauty, calm and devotion. The sweet melodies of the bhajan transform Shiva from the daunting God to the lovable, generous Sundaranana.
