It's the classic backup player push. Everyone feels the need to step up and play better to compensate. Same thing happens when star players miss a game. Everyone just knows they gotta bring more.
The whole team came up big tonight. There _may_ have been a few nerves early on, but it became rather clear towards the end that the team was solid. We know the Oilers have good experience in the playoffs now. Have faith. Big game 7 and I believe the Oilers have the edge. Vancouver will be feeling more pressure at home.

Chris, you've set up the team perfectly. Playing defense allowed us to win even with Skinner in goal. If you can set up the guys' game in defense and attack like that, then you can fight for the cup. Playing with Skinner, you continue to take risks, this is the weakest point in the entire system. Unconditional congratulations to all the guys and to you, the guys fought every minute of the match. I will congratulate Skinner only after his public apology for losing the first match, an apology not to the fans, but to the team. But judging by his conceit, he would never do that. Today, all 4 links were on the gate, with such goalkeepers we have chances.
