Episode 7 has this most aggressive way of asking someone be your FAEN (lover) 😆
This one out of all the episodes required the most patience for our leading ladies, they can be frustraiting at times but everything has a reason
Those sticks are called Yadom in Thai which are basically Inhalers that helps them to breathe.
This episode is definitely one of the most nerve-wrecking episodes especially the frustrations from not understanding Khun Sam’s actions and the miscommunication during the confession scene. It only gets better from here! Cant wait for the next episode :)

I thought I should clear things up re: about Kirk and his behavior/motivations and why Sam appears to be leading him on
1. The marriage is one not of love but of prestige, both Kirk and his family would benefit socially from such a prestigious marriage to a royal family line and Sam's family would also benefit in maintaining their prestige, as a rich more traditional family in Thailand this "engagement" happened a long time ago in a meeting between the families so it is something that Kirk has known about for a long time. He becomes blinded by his feelings for Sam too at some point
2. Concerning the "we have to clear things up," Sam dare not go against her grandmother at this point, so to break off the engagement would almost certainly bring the grandmother's ire/intervention. it's kind of way of buying time.

this ep is my least fav cuz of how frustrating sam is and the sad mon scenes (except when she confessed and they got together by the end lol)

I have really bad sinus issues, and those stick things that look like chapstick that you put in your nose are called vapor inhaler sticks. They have them at any pharmacy/drug store in the US

The little theme song you like so much was written for the show and both Sam and Mon (freen and becky) are the singers of that track!! Makes it extra cute. They sing a few of the songs on the series playlist. It’s why the songs hit the point of the story so well. The opening song has a video and everything
I think people really need to understand Sam's background better. She was raised with stunted emotions. She never knew what love is or even happiness. So she is sporatic and childish because not only is she discovering emotions for the first time, but she also has to comprehend loving, and loving a woman at that, for the first time. I was frustrated too, but Sam's actions does make sense. Also, Mon gets all the support from their friends, but Sam is just working it all out on her own.

Must be such an emotional whirlwind for them. They're both adult women but, at the same time, they're a couple of twelve years olds trying to figure out what all these feelings mean. This really is the 'first time' for both of them. They haven't even had their first real kiss yet; up to now it's all been a game they've been playing as they try to understand what's going on ~ with an added level of background terror on Sam's part ~ but now they're trying to feel their way to a whole new level of (and here words are failing me) experience (ugh!). When they do kiss for the first time, for real... Anyway, Yuki, Yuki, Yuki; so much I want to say, but (in a River Song-stylee) spoilers. Another of my favourite reactors, Soniaaahhh, has just started watching and, I don't know, but this video and the handful she's done have come along at a time when I; for totally different reasons, have been really, really, struggling. I feel like the Goddess is doing a Sam and deciding to send me something good to give me a boost. Eight is fun and dramatic and gigglesome and sheer, bloody, torture, but worth it for the acting masterclass from Freen that follows... oh, and some other stuff that I advise some headphone warnings be prepared :-) First Pride of the year in a couple of weeks, so I have a lot ~ a LOT ~ of mental self-help to do to make that happen. I just want to address one thing. I hear what you are saying about Sam not ever answering Mon when she asks her what they are, but to be fair, I feel like Mon was asking more to understand her own feelings then to know where Sam stands. I feel like Mon up until now, couldn't even really understand what she was feeling but she was putting it on Sam to be the one to define the relationship to help confirm that what she is actually feeling is real. Also, after seeing this episode we now know that Mon wouldn't have believed her if said she liked her earlier anyway. On the other hand, Sam knows what she wants and how she feels but is hesitant to be up front with Mon. Remember that she has lost so much in her life, so she probably struggles with letting people get close for fear of losing them. Also, in ep 4 Mon said that if she were a guy she would make a move, so Sam probably felt like up until this point, Mon wasn't sure about dating a girl. We have seen Mon constantly struggle with idea of being with Sam because they are both women so she deflects by saying well Sam has Kirk so she can keep her real feelings at bay. Both have a lot to work on still when it comes to communication, but at least they are starting to be more on the same page now.

even though sam had planned on firing mon to ask her out when in her mind there is a possibility that mon would not feel the same she was not expecting tee to tell her she will hire mon which clearly made sam fall back on firing mon.

The thing is Sam has already agreed to marry Kirk, so I get why Kirk is so sure of their relationship. The arranged marriage/engagement has probably been going on since they were kids. Him proposing was him announcing it to the rest of the world publicly, which was still very unnecessary! He know that the marriage is just on paper to appease her family, but he probably hopes if he’s a good enough husband she’ll fall in love with him too. Sam just needs to break it off, but obviously can’t because of Grandma ugh!
This episode was so frustrating!! I don’t understand why Sam was acting this way. How can you see Mon crying like that and feel nothing?? The sudden refusal to communicate was so annoying. It felt like the writers needed more drama so they added this mess in 🙄 But Sam is never that cold again, she’s pretty much a softie from here on out! You’re in for a ride in ep8 😏
Just want to say that I don't think Sam felt nothing when Mon was crying in her office. Yes, Sam can be frustrating, but you can see in her eyes that she hates that she hurt Mon. To be fair, at that point in the episode, Sam was likely having an internal battle with herself. Initially, she was going to fire Mon so that she could date her, but then her friends convinced her not to. Which then means she would probably have to pull back from Mon and try to suppress her feelings for her as they wouldn't be able to date if Mon was still working at the company. I know Sam should have handled things better, but I don't think she is ever out right trying to be mean or hurtful to Mon. She just goes about things in the wrong way. I also think that up until this point, both of them are scared, which is the driving force behind their actions in this episode. Mon was scared of her own feelings and was struggling to accept them. Sam was scared that Mon wouldn't feel the same about her and probably more so that she might lose Mon if she didn't feel the same way. I am just glad they both have friends that support them and helped them to move past those fears.

I wanna say something. Not saying that Kirk is perfect or something, but I don’t like that people tend to aim much of their frustration at him. Sam clearly cares about him even if he irks her sometimes. She trusts him and they’ve probably been buddies since they were kids. I never see anyone point this out…but to me, it’s very telling that when the whole mole situation goes down Sam not even once suspects anything of Kirk. While she may not have romantic feelings, they are friends and he’s even her business partner. Also Kirk is awful in the books ☠️ they made him much more sympathetic and understandable in the show. Not to mention when Sam went off on Nop before about Mon being too afraid of hurting his feelings, it’s pretty obvious that there’s some projection going on there.
