His experience at court is quite usual, the accused is told many times by his lawyer to not plead guilty, as if the witnesses don't turn up for the court he could get off....SO, on the day of the trial, if the witness DOES turn up, the accused lawyer changes to pleading guilty...then there is no need for a trial, so the witness can go home and also he wont be needed again.

Unfortunately for the guy who received the death threats in his [DM] there's nothing you can do about that, unless u really fear the dude/someone is going to hurt u then I would recommend u go to the court house, unless you're fancy i.e. stupid then pay your Lawyer to file a pfa order on your behalf! You can have put on anyone who u feel is harassing, stalking, threatening you etc.
Then if that person comes within 1000 feet of u they will be arrested ( the distance varies depending on the judges rule I believe). You do however have to have proof that the person is treating u or making u feel in danger or "fear for your life. Again I may be wrong on the exacts and different states have different laws. The great state of NY where this man was "threatened" with death in his dm well here in NYC we call that a figure of speech so yeah ur gonna have to do better for them to help with some nut job leaving love letters in your dm's bud.
