I was in downtown central Kyiv for 7-8 weeks this summer and felt very safe. I flew to Moldova and took car service to Odesa, then to Kyiv. And same on reverse. No issues at border and private car was much more expensive but also much faster than bus when they need to look at many documents and look in many bags

planning to go next summer, isn't it easier to go to Kyiv via the Poland
Moldova: get detained for being western or something else like that.
Planning on visiting for a few weeks this coming August. See if I can find my relatives in Chernivisti.

There needs to be good resources on travel into Ukraine, and ways to more easily find, contact, and volunteer to help Ukraine.
Always though, write your leaders, politicians, and lawmakers to give them political capital to support Ukraine, since for some the obvious reasons why they need to do it fall to teach their corrupted minds.
