    Your video on this along with Jon’s Moto Garage’s video helped me decide to buy this bike. Bought it this past summer, put on 3000km on it. Loved every single minute of it. All I have on it is a cobra exhaust and it’s perfect. Get tons of looks and compliments. Bike rides so perfectly smooth, very reliable. Pushed it to 200 kmph on a nice stretch and it doesn’t hesitate. Looking to get a 240 rear tire on it next summer, only for the looks.

    I have a 2007 vstar 1300 with the same engine. I get around 47mpg consistently. I can confirm the reliability of these bikes. I’ve got 65,000 miles on mine and never had a single issue with it. Just regular oil changes and new tires every now and then. The vstar is even cheaper than a Stryker right now used. Cheap reliable fun. Enjoy the words of wisdom on these videos too.

    If the Striker gets 40mpg and you put half a gallon of gas then you could go about 20 miles, so half of that is 1/4 gallon or 10 miles, and half that is 1/8 of a gallon or 1/8 of 128oz which is 16oz, (which looked like the size of that spray bottle full of gas) which would mean you could drive about 5 miles on that 16oz, (1/8 of a gallon), so Sean your fast head math actually checks out.

  • @realBkay
    @realBkay Před 5 lety +1

    You may notice the YELLOW light at the bottom of the speedo display. The symbol is a gas pump. When it comes on you better find a gas station. I had a 2007 VTX 1800 and when the YELLOW light would illuminate I found a gas station, quickly. The VTX did not have a reserve per se. The reserve was the amount of fuel remaining when the YELLOW light came on. Bet it is the same way with the Stryker.

    I have not ridden a bike in over 30 years, and I'm trying to decide on which to get. Back in the day, I was a hardcore Yamaha guy, so I am naturally attracted to the Stryker, but that damn Honda Fury has also caught my eye. I'm not intimidated by the size of the bikes even though I am rather small of stature (but a stocky 5'7", 185 lbs), so I've even contemplated the getting the Raider. So which bike would you advise getting? Stryker or Fury?

      (Lonnie mathis,,)The 1300 fury will have a lower seat and is a solid bike ,long trips will not be as comfortable as Yamaha,,as eye owned both,,now for as price ,I noticed Yamaha holds its value much better,,.,,good luck& ,,,call SRK ,easy to talk to and they ship bikes .

    I own a 16 Stryker. The only thing I don’t like is how clunky the 5speed is. I’ve been told this is a common thing for these bikes.

    Can a stereo be added easily to that fairing? Love your reviews

    • @POPPASHANGO
      @POPPASHANGO Před 5 lety +3

      Hey Ted. I believe that may be a Memphis Shades quick release fairing. I have one on my Raider. When fairing is on my Raider it is a tight fit because of the mirrors. I can only run the center bag on mine. But the difference is the Stryker has the speedometer up between the handle bars which complicates things more for space as you can see the bags are litterally sitting on the bezel. The ignition is also down behind the speedo. So I would say that a stereo would not work.
