I like your corner bed floor plan. If you ever upgrade to the lithiums you will love it. I had AGMs for 12 years in two of our previous RVs. They worked fine, but have their limitations if you like to use lots of power (especially high amp draw devices). My family are power hogs lol.
Yes, thanks! We are likely going to upgrade eventually. I didn't talk about it in the video, but to upgrade the batteries I'd also have to upgrade the inverter, controllers, and solar - so that will be a big project in the future.
We just bought a used 2018 LTV Unity FX. It has AGm and 400 watts of solar. We love Gertrude but haven’t boondocked yet.:(. We did a week hooked up seems about the time to dump the tanks.:(. Nice video!
Thanks and congrats! It’s great to boondock and also full hookups, it’s nice to have the flexibility to enjoy the RV the way you like to camp. A week sounds about right for needing water and dumping for us too, although we get better at conservation if we have to extend our time. Thanks for watching!
@@Grammapro It’s a 3-way refrigerator that came standard with our Unity. When plugged in to 30amps it runs off 110v, when we unplug and drive, it runs off battery, when we park without electricity it switches to propane.
We got lucky and had found the exact new Unity we wanted on the lot as a cancelled sale. You are right, though, 2 year wait is very long. If you do not need one immediately, it might be worth the wait.
