What year was this filmed. Reading BB’s autobiography, Blues All Around Me. Really reading the book from when I first bought it 20 years ago. I played in a blues band and we gigged all over South Central LA to BB King’s club in Universal City. BB writes about the “Do” to straighten hair, in the early days using acidic Lye and mashed potatoes. Leave it on 5 minutes, that was the trick. Or get seriously burned. Well, his hair is chemically straightened here. Get the book if you have a chance, it is a page-turner from beginning to end.
