In short : hp% gives you better defense stats as def % . 1 % hp is ~3 times better as 1% def . Im not sure about the exact numbers. But it should be the factor 3.6

1. i wouldn't call 550m might a normal-rallytrap as it's not a trap anymore. you expect someone with +400m to cap so it's not really a trap.
2. no equipped gear doesn't make any sense to bait. who would remove his gear and go offline? everyone knows you got quickswap. wrong gear like MH/familiar/fake attackgear is the way to go.
3. you forgot the most important part. read your enemies troops!! you can see what people are sending. however many send 1inf to get you off the track, but there will ALWAYS be someone who doesn't.
4. have the finger on quickswap button. a lot of people carpet rallies these days! if he hits you without your gear on you'll be done with a strong lead. if you get spammed with +30 soloattacks your radar will be blocked anyways.
5. if you've got an alt use it on your phone or laptop to see how long the rally marches. you can also garrison in case of blackwing attack and check what's coming there.
and why the f*ck does the 11k hero in your video have limbs like pop-eye lol

This video is not about myself ! Its a guideline for beginner ( read the title)
Other point is, that THIS ARE EXAMPLES,
EXAMPLES with different situation and informations about the enemy. to check how to think about it. how to begin.
I never said bait with unequipped gear.
i said I WAS IN THIS SITUATION in unequipped gear.
And it seems you never saw this 11k design or ? her limbs are normal ;) Orginal IGG design ;)
Edit: you didnt see the 3. keypoint Execution ? there is the priority list with your Read the EnemyTroops ;D next time look the video til the end ;)
Edit 2: your 4. point... look again title beginner version. you also can counter the 1 troop spamming with a simple trick, which i leak in the next Series, but that dont change the fact that the LineUp is more important as Gear
