- Well guys, you wouldn't believe it if we didn't physically show you!
This week we got to test out the seriously cool Snomaster SMDZ-LS55 Limited Edition SnoMaster Fridge Freezer.
We ran this brand new (out the box) 55w Compressor unit for five full days on our Portable Power Supply (PPS) in our controlled environment throughout stage 6 load shedding in South Africa.
in this experiment, we wanted to discover the efficiency of power consumption on 12v, ascertain the effectiveness of the 70mm fridge freezer insulation, plus we wanted to see how the portable fridge/freezer battery protector held up.
As you can see...we were quite literally blown away!
Now we know why Shane Bennett is so proud of this model - he personally signed it off himself! Encased in beautiful red leather stitching, this is every SnoMaster supporters dream!

Is it not important to state what is the Ah capacity of the powersupply? Surely a 50Ah and 200Ah powersupply will yield different results.
HI Cecil, you are correct. The Battery capacity of the Rentech Li-on PPS is 786 Wh (10.8 V 72.8Ah). however, one of the reasons the fridge/freezer lasted as long as it could was also due to the battery protection and monitor on the fridge freezer itself. We simply used a cool PPS to highlight the capabilities of the fridge, moreso than the PPS. Why would a fridge be made in a limited number?
Can you get Snomasters in the US? I can't find them.
