- Hey CZcams! This video is about why I regret straight piping my 2015 BMW 435i, And a little about the experience I went through trying to get some sound out of this N55!! I'm completely new to making videos. It's something I've wanted to do for a while surrounding cars, builds, and the car culture. Any helpful tips would be awesome! Catless Downpipe and Resontor Delete is the move!! Keep stock muffler on!
Previous owner cut mufflers before I got mine. It has small drone. Will be buying entire new exhaust with catless DP

The guy probably installed your downpipe incorrectly, causing the exhuast system to shake and drone, you should check it out
the high flow down pipe shaking after installing is something i've noticed right after installing. Wasn't sure it was normal till i saw this video! never cheap out on these performance mods, you really do get what you pay for. Excited for the build! Tuning is going to be best best bang for your buck! BM3 all the way
thats why I think some of them come with the bracket. Not sure if vrfs does though.
I have the ARM one and i know exactly what both of you are talking about, right at 2k to 2.5k rpms

Having had my 435i straight piped for three years and going back to a muffler set up, I took the muffler off again. I LOVE the drone. Took it 1500 miles on a road trip and the drone is what kept me alive on the drive lol

Mine has a VRSF catless dp, VRSF 7.5 in racing intercooler, VRSF chargepipe and a K&N filter. These are the only mods. The car sounds amazing if you are outside. Not too loud, but has a moderate mean sound. I am not planning to upgrade the muffler. I can do 3.8sec to 60mph and 12.1sec 1/4 mile using dragy at high altitude. My Density Altitude is ove 9000'.

I appreciate that, thanks brotha! And those are some good numbers! I have a verse charge pipe I need to get installed. tell me what you think about upgrading the inner cooler? I'm not looking to get 500 hp but around 400 bhp would be a good number. should I get a VRSF inner cooler as well? or will stock preform satisfactory?
@@Brennan_Brooks I strongly recommend upgrading. The 7.5 in fits perfect. Easy installation. I did ot myself like 30 min to 1 hr.
@@elrockamaster you dont experience boost lag? that intercooler is a little too big the 5inch is perfect for stock turbo
Always go catless. That will give more turbo sound. Then if u want more sound, remove the resonator. Last solution is get a full catback.
Stock muffler will keep the valves which js nice

@Brenan Brooks Official - Do the XHP transmission tune. You can change shift points. It will drive much more smooth at low speeds without drone because it shifts ridiculously early in comfort.

You should wrap exhaust pipe from turbo to back, and drone will be gone
What spacers you using?
Vrsf sport cat paired with the MPE is a nice refined sound, not too loud or boy racers but still sounds aggressive IMO, if you want more aggressive sound go awe muffler instead of mpe or do a res delete (there will be some rasping and drone)
res delete will cause rasp?
@repliica I slightly switched my setup to active autowerkes high flow DP+resonator delete+ M performance exhaust. It's definetley louder than before, with some rasp now, pops and crackles are much louder now to and turbo is more pronounced.

@repliica most definetley I passed emissions with flying colors and the quality is much much nicer and it's EPA approved

Resonator delete is best for ur car my car got a straight pipe and resonator delete and it burbles like crazy

I'm almost finished up with all my flight training here in ATL then ill be posting more videos about the build! (exhaust will be one of the first videos I do because I can't stand the drone haha

Regarding the drone, wow. I have a 2015 335i with the Borla ATAK system and VRSF catless downpipe. There is literally ZERO cabin drone with this pair. I highly recommend the Borla ATAK system for its lack of drone and exhaust note.

Something definitely is not right, my car is fbo fully straight piped besides muffler and literally has 0 drone it’s crazy and I couldn’t be more happy with it, something is definitely wrong with your set up
Yours probably had an issue with the pipping, I’ve had 2 straight piped cars and drone is annoying sometimes but it shouldn’t be annoying to the point that you hate it, or feel as if you have the revert back.

Lord have mercy you sold your oem downpipe for $150?! You could of gotten 500+. And to solve your exhaust issue you should delete your resonator and buy a vibrant resonator in place of the muffler.
