Looks really nicely setup, and the lack of overhangs make a welcome change. Great build JB. Andrew
Thanks buddy, she came up well and was awesome to drive, everyone needs this truck
Cross RC JT truck with a unique design.
Fun to ride rocks.
Happy New Year
You too mate!!
This video is very suitable for jt4. 👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🤩😁🙌🏻
Yewwww another Aussie ... that was a great video well edited well done I've never seen these vans before either 👊👍💯
Glad you liked it mate, yeah I've been around a lil while lol
This will be my Next;) Looks Great. Nice Drivin there 💪😎👍
Thanks mate!! It's a fantastic kit and definitely one for anyone's collection!
OMG! What's not to like!!!!!!!!!!
Hehe, nearly had the front bumper off around 4:30
These trucks are pretty awesome that's for sure and take a beating
@@burdon84 👍
Sweet looking rig 🙂👍👍
Thanks mate!! Definitely one of my favourites!
It has to be said that the JT4 is by far the best looking "van" body so far. You're choice of colour scheme and accessories really set it off brilliantly too. Top job fella. I've an AT4, which i am really enjoying, I'll definitely be looking at the JT4 shell when it becomes available.
Btw, any news on upgraded front axle shafts? I broke one at the weekend unfortunately. 😒
How the hell are you managing to break anything on it??? Lol
@@burdon84 I honestly don't know how. It's been taking the usual amount of driving, climbing, rolling down stuff in it's stride. It was a really innocuous drive over some rocks, nothing major and slowly too. Shaft snapped just before the portal box, where it narrows. These things happen, no stress. Greens Models in the UK had them in stock so they're on the way. I'll fit the new servo saver to the unlocking diff servo while i'm at it.
I'm impressed by the rig overall, very capable & moves really well over the ground, quite realistic.
Awesome rig and crawling too
Thanks mate!! Glad you liked it!!
Super i need one
Everyone does!
I like it looks awesome
Thanks mate!!
@@burdon84 its nice to see the people from down under enjoying rc vehicles. If i can only find a mad max inerceptor rc.
Do you remember where you found or how you did the mud flaps?
The mudflaps are modified from a xtra speed d110, I made brackets that bolt to the inner fenders that clamp the mudflap in between them and the inner guard
Very nice
Thank you!
Nice truck. Is there an interior in it, or just a driver? Also, where did you get the canopy?
I put a lexan dash and seat in it with driver.
The wooden rack all comes with the truck
@@burdon84 what dash and seat did you use? Can I see a better picture of the interior?
Just ordered an ocean blue JT4
Nice!!! They are awesome trucks that's for sure
#Great build!
I like the chrome front bumper with the lights! Where did you get that bumper?
Thanks Keith! I modified a KR4C bumper for the front, really think it sets it off
I just got a kit today. Did you have any problems setting end points on the locker servos or anything I should be aware of before assembly? Looks amazing!! Can't wait to build mine!
No mate, though I've built a lot of trucks haha I have done a video on setting end points which could be handy to watch before setting them up. A big tip: set the travel for the gear and locker servos to 0, then once they are plugged in, slowly increase end points until you the travel you need. Don't have them pushing too far, otherwise you'll just cook the servos
@@burdon84 You are a patient and wise man to take that approach. I’ll have to do the same instead starting ‘close’ to the target position, only to over-shoot it.
How is this holding up? I’m not finding much if any aftermarket parts… replacement or upgrade. Love the look of this and on the fence about it since it is not carried many places.
Like a beast mate! Crossrcus are able to get you plenty of replacement parts and some upgrades. You can also search alliexpress and find more upgrades there!
where did you get the interior for this ?
Used an old lexan interior, cut the dash out of it, made up seat brackets and installed those too
Great video!!!!!
Which front bumper do you use?
Kr4 bumper! I'm glad you like the video!
@@burdon84 I also plan to assemble a JT4 recently, thank you very much for sharing.
@@jackymuta my pleasure!
Love that retro design (Russian?). Great video!!
It's actually based on an old c150 jeep! Glad you enjoyed the video!
@@burdon84 Thanks! Is it based on a real car/van that existed? And is it truly 1/10 scale? I am wondering if would look scale next to my RC4WD D110...
@@burdon84 Oooh now I got it! The real car was a 1960 Jeep FC 150. It is a tiny truck! So I guess it is scale.
Interesting to note that most Australian Hobby Stores no longer deal in CROSS RC products. Trying to get support means dealing with overseas supplier and that means China.
Www.Crossrc.us mate. That's where I get a lot of my stuff from. Tell them Johnny Burdon sent you, they'll take care of you. Rumours are kicking around that CSMI want to start stocking cross soon too. I own trucks out there you can buy, cross are by far my favourite, best quality, best built. Hence why I keep buying so many of them. The AT4/JT4 is a fast better truck than the 10.3 or trx4 in my opinion. Worth the effort for sure.
@@burdon84 I have the BC8 MAMMOTH and it is a great product. Appreciate your input.
@@burdon84 I got to agree the cross rigs of what I know in the 1/12 scale military units are pretty much bullet proof.
Hello how did you make the mudflaps
I used a set of cross rc sp4c mud flaps and made my own chassis mount system for them
Do you know if the cross Rc shift/diff lock servos waterproof?
I believe so yes mate, also metal geared
how's the fc6 coming along?
The chassis is basically all together, now the fun part of building the body, painting everything etc before I can go much further
What interior you use JB got the same truck to build but not got round to it as of yet lol
No full interior, I used a lexan dash, yeah racing seats and half a driver haha
That's all that's needed sometimes mate fantastic build on torn on colour choice at present lol
Where did you get that bumper from?? I want one for my JT4
It's a kr4 bumper mate! Looks prefect on these things!
@@burdon84 ah ok. Yes it does. I love the two round lights on it as well. Is it hard to modify or an easy bolt on??
@@bik0304 had to cut off the tabs on the bumper, drill a couple bolt holes in the front and use a spacer for the right distance
Great video! Shame about the music.
You can't please everyone all the time mate. The music is better than wind in a microphone 😁
@@burdon84 I'd rather hear the wind .🤔
