1967('66) Toronto Golf Club Match Marlene Streit vs Mickey Wright

Marlene Streit (87 and still 'swingin' ) is the most successful Canadian amateur female golfer, and the only golfer in history to have won the Australian, British, Canadian and U.S. Women's Amateurs.
So, how she lost that 1966 Match at the Toronto Golf Club to American Mickey Wright 72 to 78 is somewhat suspicious in my opinion.
I only uploaded the beginning, 1st and last holes. To keep it much shorter to watch.
The title for this video is 1967('66) because the match game was actually played in 1966 but it wasn't broadcast till 1967.

Sadly, at some point, Streit moved to Florida, so she could play all year round.
The film does a Canada bio near the beginning which is very fascinating, and impressive they included it. Did a good job of it.

Golf is not a subjective activity so it is hard to understand how losing could be considered suspicious. To state that Streit is a much better golfer than Mickey Wright is just wrong on so many levels.

@@seansack609 yes. Mickey is considered by the great lady golfers as the best of all time. The great male players including Hogan and Nelson said she had the finest swing they had ever seen man or woman.
