3.22 - when Michael hits that first note.......it's just incredible. I don't know of anybody who plays melodies like Michael does, his notes and timing are both perfect. Michael Schenker is the best ever!
Folks, I've listened to UFO since they started, and still wonder why they never got the credit they really deserved. Their music has stood the test of time and they still sound great.
I was 14 when Phenomenon was released & the first song I heard from the album was Rock Bottom & I haven't stoped listening to Schenker's music ever since, have been very fortunate if not Blessed to have seen UFO with Schenker back in those great years, thank for your comment & for watching,& I agree this is a killer song!
i heard it on the radio but they didnt say who it was....in 74....the next day at the 'social reject' lunch table they were ALL buzzing about it.....and i found out the name of the band....i was hooked.....till Obsession ...after which when Michael left the band-
UFO" WHAT A FRIGGIN INCREDIBLE BAND THAT BECAME GROUND-BREAKING TRAILBLAZERS" WITH THE INCREDIBLE BRILLIANT PETE WAY SHREDDING BASS,,ONE OF MY TOP 10 BASSISTS OF ALL TIME'! STEVE HARRIS OF MAIDENS IDOL!!!
I got Force It My first taste and f UFO. It stayed on my turntable for a long long time. Then I got Sad Wings of Destiny,Judas Priest. Great time for music. Schenker is so great. I saw him many times. Caught this tour twice. First at 14. Again at 15. Loved No Heavy Petting so much. Some great guitar. Schenker. So innovative. Whatever happened to great Rock?
I can't believe how great this sounds, it's 1976, it's mono, and it's at least a 3rd or 4th generation copy off some ancient analog tape format of some sort - yet it sounds absolutely fantastic, hat tip to the mixer, but most of the credit has to go just to the band - and my god Phil's voice sounds incredible: I really don't think people realize how great they were - because as far as I can tell, this is absolutely live - not many folks could pull this off this well anymore - it's slowly becoming a lost art.
lets get real.some of us would be dead if it was not for bands like this.these guys poured their hearts out for us.they helped us stay sane and not alone.I give my life for these people.I wish the world was not so screwed up as it is.but it is.things are bad.the kids these days probably have no idea who ufo is.There are no bands like this for them.we and them(ufo) are lucky to know how great the music can be.long live rock, long live rock.we sold our souls, and it was the right thing!
i saw them in toronto at massey hall, they were opening for bon scotts ac dc. they were actually co headlining with each other. one of the best concerts ive ever seen. ufo never got the credit they deserved. i think it cost me 12 dollars. money well spent.
This is great song of balance and poise .Has a good emotional feel to it.I wish i got to listen to it in 1976.I did not start listening to them until 1986, liked them ever since .Top Band, only for serious rock lovers, who appreciates what they are about.
I had the awesome pleasure of seeing these guys at the Hammond Civic Ctr (Northwest Indiana) around this time...just amazing! Rock N Roll at it's very very best!
Michael Schenker is simply the greatest rock guitar player to come out of Europe. Yes...the was Yngwie...Michael was so far ahead of the pack in the 70's no one understood where this was coming from with incredible melodic phrasing and the most recognizable left hand vibrato in the history of rock guitar.
Following up on the lyrics it was interesting to learn about the connection to Louise Fazenda and the silent movie era. This must have been something Mogg and the band had childhood memories of.
I have had the pleasure of seeing UFO with Michael from the 70's and then again in the 90's I guess and still to this day touring the MSG and will still kick the ass of any guitar player around...Schenker Rules !!!
Both classic albums, personally, I'll go with Force It .. Let It Roll, Mother Mary, Shoot Shoot, Out In The Street .. and one of my favorite leads from Michael in High Flyer .. damn, it;s a tough choice though, Try Me, Too Hot To Handle, Love To Love and Lights Out are classic too ... Great great band .. even Wild, Willing and the Innocent is classic too
love this video...pete way looks like he wants to hurt somebody, lol. one of UFO's best, most signature, songs, killer arrangement. as good as this band gets.
the best track off what is probably the best live hard rock album ever..Schenker's playing is outstanding but you know, I always liked the keyboards in this. Thanks for posting Axe!
One of my first albums was obsession. I liked the cover, saved my grass cutting money, birthday money, whatever. Rode my bike to the record store every chance I had enough for an album. When I got home with obsession and put it on the family record player, holy shit ! It just sounded louder, and that was fantastic! I saw ufo live a month ago with my buddy from childhood. We actually met phil . One of my favorite moments ever. An actual genuine wonderful person who took time to just talk and listen to an old fan. Cheers to all ufo fans!
I learned how to solo by listening to Force It and other UFO albums back in the late '70s. Schenker was my guitar teacher, essentially. Randy Rhoads was the second teacher. The two best.
The vibrato, phrasing, tone , melody and fluidity of this solo is genius, backed by a great vocal, precision driving rhythm section and Keyboards👌 Class
@@steviemoff thanks for getting back to me. I mean I know lots of people have seen him, but to ask one person on a random (great video) who has is amazing, it's weird to think he sees only the old version of bands and hasn't seen them young (wish I could go back to the "Viccy Hall" Stoke), actually it's kind of sad for him, I can hear him live now (well mixing live lol). Thanks again Stevie, Chris.
I totally agree...bought their stuff when 1st released starting w/ Phenomenon, but this one will always hold the most special place in my 40+ plus year guitar journey as a player and UFO fan. Never saw them and I'm bitter...but YT helps.
Back around 1982, I had that same exact UFO fabric patch! I also had a RUSH patch. Both were quite fashionable on my faded Levi's Jacket. I went to a crazy party and lost my jacket.
@@randalldiem9738 - That's really great! I have terrible insomnia and finally gave-in and took a sleep aid this morning. I hate taking anything for sleep because it causes bizarre dreams. So, I woke up a bit ago, and was thinking what a weird dream that was! I dreampt I was on CZcams and some guy replied to a comment I'd posted on some UFO video regarding something about how he used to have the same UFO patch as I. He even said we both had the same RUSH patch back in the day. I was thinking, man...I don't care how bad my insomnia gets, I'm never taking anything for sleep, ever again. I couldn't believe how real the dream felt and how I'd never had a dream about something so random and obscure. I mean, a CZcams exchange for a dream??? The dude even spoke on the irony that we even share the same first name! Moments later, I swiped my phone and CZcams is opened and paused at the very beginning of a UFO video. I pushed play and see the patch on the introduction, and my mind was blown! I wondered how a dream could be so real it could affect my physical phone. Then I saw your name and realized it was reality. I must sound insane, but I had to share. No more sleep aids, that was just trippy.
It was such a coincidence that Uli & Schenker decided to quit on the same year after a live album,I know SITN was released in '78,this is the Danny Peyronel era!
Strangers wasn't released until 1978. This is 1976. Just so you know. Also Tokyo Tapes was released in 78 as well. The 2 best hard rock live albums ever.
moggs voice reminds me of paul rodgers, and certainly their list of ballads hold up well to anything free/bad company ever did... and then theres schenker, nuff said really, pure brilliance!!
i have to agree with haggisman. michael schenker a tragic alcoholic, wrote the most beautiful melodic guitar solos, maybe for all time. i wished him and ufo could just stay together and tour forever.
I forgot, I did post this audiotrack with Paul Chapman on 2nd guitar & Michael Schenker on the 1st guitar!: UFO [ SPACE CHILD/DOCTOR,DOCTOR ] LIVE AUDIO-TRACK

UFO was one of the greatest rock bands!!
UFO are such a great Rock n Roll band !
Folks, I've listened to UFO since they started, and still wonder why they never got the credit they really deserved. Their music has stood the test of time and they still sound great.
They were the most underrated band in the history of rock and roll. I can only imagine it has something to do with their producers.
A classic rock veteran if there ever was one, ain`t`cha ?
UFO and Thin Lizzy were massivley underrated
MS left the band is why.
My brother gave me Force it as. A Christmas present 1977. I didn't put it on the turntable for 2 yrs. when I started playing guitar
It never came off.
Another UFO song where the guitar and keyboards just go together like husband and wife!
Pete way on bass so promptly
❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉респект этой рок группе, с прекрасным исполнителем и сопровождением!!!годы не стёрли это исполнение из памяти, музыка на века!!!
A stellar performance of a beautiful, sensitive song. RIP Pete--we can't thank you enough for all the joy and beauty.

Along with Thin Lizzy, one of the most overlooked bands, ever.

I can't get enough of this. Schenker is like a blond German angel sent to bless the earth with a Flying V.
That he surely is.. 😇🎸🎶🌠🎊
Decent track that solo in the middle crushes it. Hail. Michael Shencker. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Schenker just has it, melodic phrasing, tone, vibrato, speed, feel,
and a god given ability to write.
The greatest guitar solo of our generation.
I think the live version of Rock Bottom from Strangers may be the best. This one, however, is a close second.

that was part of the experience, going to the record store and waiting to get home to play it.
You had to take your chances spending your hard earned dollars at the record store, sometimes a stinker, sometimes gold. UFO was gold 🎸🎸🎸
The mechanical shower scene? I LOVE UFO

Hi Stevie, I just wondered how well CZcams gets people out there, have you come across James Bell at all?? He's a 22yr old UFO fan esp MS, Chris.
