I love that whole scene with Sherlock on the couch. It cracks me up:
Sherlock: "What's wrong?"
Watson: "I met a friend of yours."
Sherlock: "A friend?!"
Watson: "An enemy."
Sherlock: "Oh. Which one?"
Watson: "Well, your archenemy according to him. Do people have archenemies?"
Sherlock: "Did he offer you money to spy on me?"
Watson: "Yes."
Sherlock: "Did you take it?"
Watson: "No..."
Sherlock: "Pity. We could have split the fee. Think it through next time."
WeCareALot i enjoy the pool scene; moriartys part ofc but most of all the chemistry between john and sherlock. At first when he thinks john is moriarty and then later when he is so worried abt him😂😂
its funny how he panicked at the fact that there was a 'friend' outside and calmed down when it was an enemy
that wink at the end...he is like a perfect balance of adorable, awkward and just plain hot
HE IS PERFECTION.

I can tell that Sherlock just didn't have one _speck_ of sentiment when he did that, either. Machine, indeed.

The facial transitions were just priceless. He was all confused and stuff when john mentioned a friend and then he got all excited when john corrected himself and said enemy.
+HouseMDaddict The first time my mother laughed at this show was when Sherlock said, "Pity, we could have split the fee."
It was a big deal because she suffers from depression. We got hooked on this show together. :) It's special to us, now. Thanks for cheering my mum up by being you, Sherlock.

@@RenateFarida Agree with you! The term "high functioning" is usually used in connection with ASD. Of course Sherlock knows he is "high functioning" but at no case a "sociopath." He knows self he's autistic. "High functioning sociopaths" don't really exist in reality, but "high functioning autists" really do.

It's like he's speaking as Benedict and not as Sherlock.

His accent changes just a little bit. It drops from the slight posh he usually has to a less cultured version.
Only example I have, in KINGSMAN terms he drops from Harry to Eggsy for a single word.

Lol I made my family watch the first episode with me...and they just didn't get why we love Sherlock. They just thought he was kinda rude, confusing and slightly annoying - and I was like whatttt he's awesome - and his rudeness is just hilarious!!!
