Great performance of this Elvin Bishop hit. What folks don't know is that Elvin bishop on guitar and Leon Russel on piano created a lot of the early hit singles while working together in a sessions recording studio in L.A. Both were born in 1942 and started playing music as they were still learning to walk upright. Yet like many greats of their time, all their inspiration came from black soul, jazz, rhythm and blues. I first saw Rod Stewart at a dive in Indianapolis that got busted at 1:00 in the morning. I was written a ticket for under age visiting a dive. People in my age group lived the greatest lives ever in USA history. It all happened near the close of the great industrial era. I really feel for young people today. They never got to feel the freedom and society that we all had.
-my grandkids can't understand the music from the 60s, 70s and 80s. So many memories and people attached to each song. We really had the best cars and music.
I told my girlfriend back in the 70s when this song came out that it was my song to her. Dam if Rod makes it New again for me. Great Job.
