Bruh I swear you remind me on Michael McDonald. I remember hearing his soulful tone, riffs and runs on the radio for a LOOOONG time before I saw him. And because of the tonal quality of his voice, I just KNEW he was Black-boy was I wrong. And mind you this was in the 80’s when the status quo was that the “races stuck to their own sound and genre”. It was then that I TRULY understood that music transcends all of the petty race relations and other BS. Music belongs to us all.
